We will go through the journey of macaron from start till the end.
Only limit seats available as the class is small.

Cake Baking Workshop
19th SEPTEMBER 2010 -10am to 4.30pm (with lunch break)
We will be embarking in baking two cakes for a day. It will be hands on workshop approached.

His macarons are crisp on the outside, chewy inside and please pleasure as you bite into it. You will get to your hands dirty while trying to make your macaron and share your experience with the one sitting next to you. Sunny Yaw will be show you how to get it done!

Over the Christmas weekend we dropped by Glenmarie Shah Alam for lunch hunt after dropping some Christmas cake orders at Subang Jaya. Glenmarie is an industrial park and finding food can be a great task but surprisingly on my ‘must eat list” was Meng Kee Char Siew, Meng Kee’s sweet roasted pork.

A Flower Shower Wedding Cake . . . . . Alan & Jamie

A DREAM COME TRUE . . . .

I had a conversation with someone on the phone today.

“Hi, this is Big Boys Oven, it’s regarding about your cake”, I spoke.
“Who is this? Sid, the one who manage BBO or Sunny the good looking one with the photo on the blog” replied from someone.

Wow! I was shocked with joy . . . . me the good looking one, hahahahaha . . . such a compliment I ever received till today! I was totally blushed and still am even now! Thanks to someone, it was really motivated me to bake more from now on! heheheh . . . .

As I got back from Singapore, I created this cake specially for Alan & Jaime’s wedding at Holiday Inn, Glenmarie. I meet Jamie a month ago and she already had something in mine, a lovely huge 3tier wedding cake with beautiful orangy flowers combination over a light orange wedding cake flushed with some hand painted gold motifs. Here is the cake I created . . . .

I had been busy, split myself here, there and everywhere lately . . . . . . do believe me, it was amazing that I survived . . . . but it was amazingly fun . . . . I am sure you would like to know, what a guy like myself had been busy with, rite! . . . . . prepared a great “purple & white” wedding last saturday . . . . and managed to take time for a total awesome food tasting together with a well-known foodblogger on the same day! . . . . . I can’t image how I can pull that off . . . . sunday, yet another hawker food hunt with my close friends . . . . . monday, I had a private baking class, don’t ask who my participants were, got to be confidential on this, lol! . . . . . . . tuesday, had a great nite out at Souled Out with bloggers, May, Sueme, Kelvin, Joshua, Jason, Andrew, Sid, our host Fanny and Guldip . . . . . . wednesday, hahahahaha a total recovery day for me! lol!

As Chinese New Year is approaching, I decided to prepare this two special dishes, “Hou See Fatt Choy”(Welth & Prosperity) and “Wong Kam Moon Foo”(Full of Gold). “Hou See Fatt Choy” is a dish which consist of dried oyster, seaweed and fish paste. “Wng Mam Moon Foo” is a dish consist of golden pumpkin and tau foo in golden pumpkin sauce.




Oh gorgeous Sid and Joanna. Ain’t they look like a suited couple make in heaven!
