Her exposure in Nyonya cuisine is wide ranging from the Southern right to the Northern Nyonya style. From a true breed Nyonya who hails from a Malaccan Baba background with an influence of Penang Nyonya. Both sides of her family inspires her cooking. Yes she is a serious chef when comes to her food it can easily won my heart and taste.

On my food quest at Kepong, it had lead me to cross over to the neighbouring area here at Sungai Buluh. This time I visited Restaurant LYJ.

It kept me staring at it. My pair of eye got frozen. A beautiful bird, graceful placed on the serving plate up right. It had such a great golden tanned, yes it was perfectly roasted with a crisp skin. Yes it was tuly a unique way of presentinmg, what more we ate in a different way. A pair of scissor was put into play to carve the chicken. Yet, Master Chef Paul Lee kept had more surprise juices flowing out. It was a lemon roasted chicken and it was really delicious. “It must an Italian influence roasting”, I told myself. It was such a display dish. We had one roasting but our next door table had two and I know why! yes it was really spectecularly delicious. A definitely must have. Something simple yet unique.

But don’t let of such to fool you, Roger Delights is a newly opened Chinese cuisine outlet located just about my neighbourhood here at Kota Damansara. The owner/chef Roger Chong had recently flown back from US to set up his restaurant after spending his culinary venture. With his wide experience in authentic Chinese cuisine, Nyonya cuisine would be his pick for this restaurant. The food here is absolutely delicious with a touch of authenticness. Lovely.

I just love food. Don’t all of us. This time I get to taste one of the most exquiste food which just located nearby my place. I was alerted by Mrz Azlen my FB friend just recently over the Chinese New Year celebration. Mrz Azlen was raving about it, Little Yum Yum which located at the tip end of Kota Damansara.

So when I got back early, I just can’t resist of not paying this eatery a visit! I did! Our table was filled with a variety of indulgence cuisine ranging from a variety of fresh herbs like lemongrass, gelanga, limau purut, ginger, laksa leafs, curry leafs and many more variation of local herbs and spices. Every dish was perfectly and uniquely crafted. Trust me, you will enjoy them like I did.

IKETERU is part of the 30 finest restaurants around Kuala Lumpur participating in this year Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2010. Definitely this sophisticated and modern Japanese setting of IKETERU instantly caught my attention and comfort was felt right away. Equip with finest chefs, moden teppanyaki station and modern sushi bar, IKETERU was truly irresistable especially on my latest dining experience. A spacious dining area with private tatami rooms can be truly comfort to enjoy a Japanese cuisine, just like what I did.

I am a new sake follower and having a few bottles at home is a must. As having to have a glimpse of sake available was mind blowing, it was beautiful to see. Just like a sea of sake. Marvellous especially for a drinker like myself. Another sight caught me with excitement, having to see huge jars of plum sake being brewed and being showcased in the glass cabinets caught me totally speechless. I was informed there are not readily yet for drinking as they are still very young.

Another reason of coming to IKETERU is to lay back and enjoy the dishes crafted by the well know Chef Ricky Kamiishi. His beautiful creations are most sort after by many Japanese cuisine fans in town, he is known for his bold approaches in his creation and style. He just love playing around with flavours and freshness. I am one of his huge dedicated fan.

I am also excited that during this festival, Hilton KL will also be flying a 2 Michelin Star Chef, Chef Christopher Coutanceau from La Rochelle Restaurant in France from 14th to 16th October 2010. Being born a Coutanceau means being born to cook (his father, The Grand Chef Richard Coutanceau), Christopher absorbed the culinary rigour of his father and learning from gastronomical greats like Gauzeres, Bardet, Guerard, Oudill and Ferran Aida. Throughout his three days visit in Kuala Lumpur, he will be mesmerizing us with his delectable original and modern presentation with his signature festival menu featuribng Brittany Lobster Stew with baby Vegetables 7 mushroom Ravioli, Grilled Foie Gras with Candide Mandarin & Mandarin Sorbet, Squab Pigeon with Cabbage leaves & Foie Gras, Seasonal Vegetable Casserole with truffle juice. Nor dragged me to have a wonderful meal recently at the Temptations located at Renaissabce Kuala Lumpur. I had been here once a year ago and I know I was up for an enjoyable meal. A modern chic restaurant yet with real appealing comfortable setting had made me wanted to stay even longer, great to have it buffet. Something I love to be especially dining with some close friends. As I walked in I just can’t help noticing the smell of the freshly grillied satay. It was such fragrantly sweet and biting into a stick was just heavenly felt, tender and juciy as always.

I knew I am going to have a jolly great time dining here just upon arrival.There was this row of wooden dining terrace constructed along the pond flushed within the beautiful thick green forrest backdrop that caught my eyes. It was liked the love at the first sight.

Having the table set beside the pond can be truly romantic while at the long dining table it can be assured like having a humble feast here at Intai Intai Restaurant. Intai Intai meant peaking specialised in authentic mouth watering Thai cuisine and also a range of lovely Malay cuisine. The place was amazingly beautiful, serene and optimally relaxing definitely part of a hidden secret garden within the city. I am amazed with this discovery

Having to dine in at Avanti can be such a spledid time spend. I particularly love the interior setting. Gorgeous. Easily I can infused into playing the role of an Italian mobster puffing away his Cuban cigar! Having a pair of bodyguard standing behind me definitely a must!

A pricy long coat is a must and cladding into a pair of exclusive Giorgio Armani suit is an essential. Isn’t it nice?

It had been a great start this year for us and with many more potential food projects in making. We had been eating around while ushering in the year of the Tiger and this great idea came to play in my mind for sometime now. With the help of my close buddies in the food scene we went on without stopping in order to achieve this wonderous mission, my dream is to produce photo covers with my bunch of great buddies and this Chinese New Year celebration was a great opportunity. So gathered, the camera man, the foodies and the venue! :)

The first photo we had inline was Ah Bok, Lionel and Sunny to do the Kung Fu pose, boys in action, ushering in the Tiger while we were all laughing behind the scene, it was awesomely funny! Strike a Pose!

Having to be in Penang and yet to try Ah’Basri Satay means you had missed an awesome delicious luxurious satay in the country! Yes the BEST satay in town!

Recently, I had tried a few fantastic delicious satay such as Prince Hotel Satay, Serai Satay Bar and Ah’Basri Penang is really fantastic. I am amazed with the varities of meat and the different type of marinations available waiting to be served. It can be very eye refreshing!

This place offers chicken, beef, lamb, deer, ostrich, horse, rabbit, duck, turkey, squid, prawn and fish. It also offers normal, black pepper and also tom yam flavoured satay. Truly an eye opener to me, and definitely creative!

Indulging into such a feast can be a piece of luxury in life for myself as I don’t need to sweat myself out in my own kitchen in preparing such a spread of gourmet, This I got to thank Master Wingz for the invitation, even though that night it was pouring rain, it did not stop me from attending, worth every single minute of it.
