Nyonya Delights at Neighbourhood Dataran Sunway

Nyonya Delights 7
Nyonya Delights

Well when one ask me where I like to have my lunch, I would tell them I would love to stop my favourite nyonya mixed rice. Located not too far from my place just at the Neighbourhood Food Court, Dataran Sunaway. I just love few of their main dishes such as the mouthwatering golden fried pork coated with yummy caramelized bbd sauce, the tender wild boar curry a must have, even their pan fried mackerel coated with tamarind sauce and strings of fried gingers, their ‘sambal sotong’ squid and cockles are both to die for. I got to say their Nyonya Nasi Lemak can be a divine breakfast. Here you can also get Tom Yum Fried Mee Hoon as snacka while their Asam Vegetable is damn classic. Best time to lingering around this shop would be at 12noon as most disihes will parade themselves.

I could not believed that I had located this restaurant that was hidden in the isolated area near Desa Aman Puri. Yes not far form there (just a kilometer or two just behind Mc Donald), to be exact located at Taman Perindustrian KIP. I was lucky this time as I had a guide with me. It was a true innocent authentic Chinese dishes that I ever eating that afternoon unless it was well prepared by my grandmother, aunties or the elderly. The Dying Art Of A Good, Delicious & The Best ‘Chee Cheong Fun’

PASIR PINJI 3 ROAD, PASIR PINJI, IPOH

Note: “Chee Cheong Fun” = Steam Rice Noodle
When I was a kid, I still remember my dad and mom will take me out for a ride on their morris minor and it was always be a special night when we headed to the Caning Garden “Chee Cheong Fun”. I can still remember the stall which was located at the middle side of a football field. It was as usually crowded and that it was nearly more than 30years ago. And yet recently the temptation of “Chee Cheong Fun” had excited me again, reborn! . . . . as I had found the best ever “Chee Cheong Fun” in my whole entire life and this is the one, a NO name “Chee Cheong Fun” located in Pasir Pinji.

The best jokes that we alway cracked about this stall was their quing number system whereby you have to obtain before serving. YES! the QUE and YOU are not the QUEEN!, YOU still have to wait and with added patient! You will be given a number, sit and you will be served when your number is called. Don’t this tell you about the “Chee Cheong Fun” served here. YES! It is truely awesome delicious “Chee Cheong Fun”, it just melts in your mouth, so soft and yet so fragrant, with the mixture of an authentic sauce which enhance this “Chee Cheong Fun” ever further. The real bonus about it, . . . it is really affordable, so CHEAP!, read my word again if you dont believe,………… VERY CHEAP!

Hua Nam Coffeeshop, New Town , Ipoh

Hua Nam Coffeeshop in new town ipoh has been around for many years now and still churning lots of delicious hawker food. I am definately one who will never miss visiting this shop for my afternoon tea. I will always go for the “Law Mee” and always make sure the stall serve them in Penang style. “Law Mee” is noodle dish serve in a dark sauce and comes with topping such as shreeded chicken, sliced prawns, deep fried onions and some ‘sambal” chilli paste. It is nothing new as you can get this similat dish in Kuala Lumpur and even in Petaling jaya. So what make this particular dish so uniqe? Well, got to say I was introduce to this dish by my cousin Jennie, She taught me how to eat this dish and that makes the dish so unique and so delicious. This stall serve pickle crushed garlic. What you have to do is just add those pickled crushed garlic into your “Law Mee” noodle and mix them into the dish evenly. OMG! now you will be able to taste such a unique taste and flavour of this “Law Mee”. A must try if you are in Ipoh!

Another delicious noodle that you can enjoy at this coffeeshop is the Curry Noodle. So delicious and I hardly can describe thwem to you. I think you need to try yourself and from my pictures, they tell! …lol!

Rojak is also something that need to try here. What makes this rojak dish so delicious…of course is the rojak sauce. I also love the the prawn crackers serve on the rojak. So crunchy and so tasty when eaten with the rojak sauce. And those crushed peanuts toppings really adds the flavour of this rojak. This rojak is really something that i would crave for…… so to say, something to die for……………..lol! Same goes with their Sotong dish….you have a try and let me know later!

Hokkien “Har Mee” is also a winner here. A noodle dish that comes with slice pork and shrimps and comes with prawns soup. Lovely!
