FUKUHARU Hock Choon Terrace

Sashimi _salmon and Hamachi
Sashimi Salmon and Hamachi

We were lucky to have stumbled upon this lovely place for a kaiseki indulge, a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner. The restaurant named Fukuharu located at Hock Choon Terrace along Jalan Ampang. The setting of the terrace was so adorable and it housed three restaurants and a cafe, Fukuharu was one of them. During in the evening this place can be really classic, serene and exclusive, just the right place to host a private dinner and even a romantic dinner.

Our beautifully decorated Mukozuke painted with fresh Yellowtail (Hamachi) and Salmon rolled over with shredded Japanese cucumber was so superb to look at as it was really delicious and all just disappeared in seconds, I wanted more.

Lam Ah Coffee Shop Lebuh Chulia Penang

Kedai Kopi Lam Ah

Lovely Penang, unique and full of culture. I just love walking along the narrow streets, glancing through the old pre-war shop lots. This time I stopped at Lebuh Chulia, a street where a heaven for backpackers, affordable lodging. I was introduced to this small corner coffee shop named Lam Ah Coffeeshop which was really unique by itself, a very old coffee shop but served the best most refreshing fresh nutmeg juice. I just love it at the first sight, delicious beyond imagination, just speechless. A drink that you must try yourself if you are in the area.

Inherited Recipes : Deliciously Hot Green Chicken

It had been a great Saturday, I had been eating and been cooking non-stop this evening for some friends at my studio. So what did I cook, , , , , you may ask? Well I did some recipes that I inherited from my late dad which are amazingly fabulous that can rock your taste buds . . . . . Don’t believe me, do try it yourself . . . . simple and amazingly presentable inside and outside the kitchen. One of them is the this deliciously hot Green Chicken with a fragrantly smell of laksa leaves, seasoning taste of ocean sundried shrimp, a thick sauce of fresh coconut milk , a hint sourness of refreshing lime and the fury hot green bird eye chillies.

Yet another few simple appetising dishes set on the table were the tamarind beef with salted fish, steam garupa fish with mashed ginger, garlic and superior sauce, baby kailan topped with oyster sauce and pan fried garlic . . . follow up with my dessert, moist chocolate cake drizzle with duche de leche.
