Love the comfort place as it was where I started my first lecturing job when I got back from my long 10years education stay in Scotland, yes I was working at UNITEN. The Residence Hotel is located right at the heart of this university campus. I got to say it did bring back a lot of sweet memory about my one year working in this campus.

Buka Puasa with a Brazalian Twist at Chatz Brasserie PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur

Carving
Carving The Whole Lamb

Attending a Ramadan berbuka Puasa can be rather exciting. Lots of varities offered and many pleasing dishes to pick. One that got me truly satisfied was this one at PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur. The Chatz Brasserie.

The first thing that got me excited was spotting the golden roasted lamb, ” I must have that little lamb not Mary” I told myself jokingly. It was such an eye catching piece of half whole roasted lamb. I like mine not too lean and must be moist, having the crisp skin to go with it is a must. That night the lamb was truly outstanding, it was done the Brazilian way. Superb and it was done perfectly accurate, not too dry. By the way I like how the young gorgeous chef carved the lamb. He included it with an awesome smile! It was a perfect evening.

The Flamin’ Tuna Pie was truly exciting when it was being surved at my table, it was heavy in flame. Coming out from a blow torch. I was truly exciting and watching with amazed. The waitress did the flame so professionally. I discovered the pie was infused with hidden tuna bits and packed with sauteed veggies. It was also topped with delicious creamy mozarella, a blessing indeed.

Seafood Emperor Noodle Soup

I was so inspired when I was reading this book entitled “Wagamama: Ways with noodles” by Hugo Arnold. A bowl of noodle can be prepared in so many ways beyond your imagination, yet so nutritious and that caught my attention. Noodle is definite the fast food of today, the pasta of the 21st century as stated by Hugo himself, agreed and the truth. Noodle can be easily cooked, simple. Just softened them in boiling unsalted water, refreshed under cold water then combined with other ingredents. Prepeared in many ways stir fry, in broth, stew, chilled and with varies toppings.

For today’s post I would like to introduce a bowl of seafood emperor noodle soup. Here I had used a variety of seafood such as large prawns, fresh mussels, fresh clams, garupa fish slices, greens, emperor noodle and chicken broth.

A bowl of noodle:

2 large fresh prawns
5 large fresh mussels
5 large fresh clams
3 slices of garupa fish
greens
1 dry emperor noodle
350ml chicken stock
seasoning
2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves

season the prawns, mussels, clams and garupa slices in a bowl. Put the emperor noodle into the boiled unsalted water to softened the noodle. Refreshed under cold water. Place them in a serving bowl.
Placed the prawns, mussels, clams, garupa and greens into the boiling the chicken stock. Do not overcook the seafood. Once cooked, dished them into the serving bowl together with the emperor noodle. Garnished with coriander leaves and serve.
