He is brilliant yet he is sure a young and talented, Dim Sum Maestro Yau Kim Yew. I love his creativite play and truly a persone who will put upmost effort to think out of the box when comes to Dim Sum. Some may go overboard with their creation but Maestro Yau is one of those chefs that who I know who will go all out to maintain the substance and traditiion of a little petite dim sum. He is so adoreable yet his dim sum is something to die for.

Sawadeekap ! It was awesome to be back again here for another exciting food fiesta at Flavors Restaurant, Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences. I got to say the food was gorgeous at the preview that I attended. Just love the deep fried money beg. pandan chicken and also those slabs of deep fried Thai fish paste.

Mango Cloud Chocolat Honey Cake | Big Boys Oven Sweet Dessert

I stumbled onto this recipe last weekend and found it to be really interesting and truely amazing. This recipe’s mango cloud is truely amazingly delicious. I know I did come across of this simlar mango cloud texture before . . . yes I had it at Dragon-i, this cloud texture is light and fluffy, just amazing to leave it in our mouth as it melts it’s way through into your system . . . just pure lovely. At Dragon-i, they have it in a size of a cloud bun, no flavouring added and filled with red bean fillings.

Limited Edition Valentine’s Cupcake by Big Boys Oven

February the 14th will be the Valentine’s Day and I had created four limited edition Valentine’s cupcakes inspired by my favourite star Martha Stewart. Each batch of this limited edition Valentine’s cupcakes come in a box of 12’s and personally handcrafted and decorated by myself. In each box you will able to find chocolat cake with strawberry compote, vanilla pod cake with mango, coffee cake with roasted walnut, lemon cake with blood orange peel.

Macarons with An Asian Flavour

Not A New Discovery, Yet So Lovely

dear readers and friends,

thank you for all the emails and comments for my last post. it was fabulous and great to know that you love the wedding cake that i created a week ago. i am totally lost with words and this had gave me the strength to even work more harder to churn out more creations in the comings and the future.

on thursday i attended a cocktail reception showcasing the year end party celebrations where there were more than 100 invited guests from the coperate world and the media. the food was lovely . . . . (will definitely be posting about it) . . . and at this event i was shocked that some of the guests wanted to meet Big Boys Oven and our desserts were complimented and so was our work . . . . . . thank you so much.

back to today’s post, i would like to introduce my lastest macaron craze . . . yes macarons with an asian flavour. during this year i stumbled onto this flavour during the mooncake festival and the way it was done, was incredible unique, delicious and that attractd me. then back to my studio i tested this similar uniqueness but. . . . . onto my macarons . . . . i am sure you are eager wanting to know what i have created . . . . yes i have come up with macarons with mango japanese cream cheese filling. the macarons are filled with really small bits of preserved mango and infused into a lite mango cream cheese.
