Recipe Pressure Cooking Tamarind Chicken

Tamarind Chicken with Philips Electric Pressure Cooker

Wanted to have something sour, sweet and fragrant for dinner and I found those great ingredients combination just right inside my fridge. And having a pressure cooker comes handy, you can chuck them in at a go and start the cooking with a flick of a button. (two buttons to be exact). My tamarind chicken came out just nice as I wanted it to be. Sweet, sour and fragrant. Here I use Sakura chicken as I like the meat biting texture but normal chicken can do the task easily, just my preference. One more thing, there will definite be a lot of sauce at the end of the cooking, take some out and had it reduced over the stove within no time and pour the reduce sauce onto the chicken and serve.

Smells good, looks good definitely taste good !

Best New Eatery SERAI EMPIRE at Empire Shopping Gallery Subang Jaya

Serai Empire
Serai Empire

SERAI is a name that always buzz in my head. I just love it’s lemony fragrant and taste that can burst inside your mouth which may work wonders. It is definitely an amazing herb that is being infused into our drinks, soups and curries. Yet here at Empire Shopping Gallery I stumbled upon an eatery by the name of Serai Empire. I definitely recognised this restaurant as it is run by Chef Najib who I interviewed few months back for the newspaper. Now he is heading this kitchen. His creations are so well recieved and I was told the restaurant is packed during weekends.

Matcha Mousse Cake

It seems like a japanese food preview for most KL bloggers this week ( such meiyin and lyrical lemongrass) and my oven got under attack too. I wish cicak man can come to rescue me. hahaha… that’s funny.

Matcha (Green Tea) Mousse Cake is nothing new these days in KL as you can get it at most cake shops in KL. For my version, I used matcha sponge cake, matcha syrup to moist the sponge cake during assembling, matcha mousse, azuki (red bean) and white chocolate for the deco.

This is yet another very simple cake to make and has a very oriental flavour and taste.
