Massaman Lamb Shank 1
Massaman Lamb Shank

When I saw ISSAYA SIAMESE CLUB Bangkok’s Massaman promotes it’s Lamb Shank on facebook it got me excited. Well I just love the food creation at this gorgeous restaurant located in Bangkok. Yes I had tried them out early quarter of this year and their food is just absolutely delicious. Chef Ian ‘s unique 10 hours slow-cooked Massaman Lamb Shank looked so perfectly. By looking at it you know you want to taste it and I will when I get to Bangkok. Looking through my little library I found a Massaman recipe hidden in the Blue Elephant Cookbook and I decided to give it a try. I recreated the Massaman paste but I improvised on the lamb shank as their was cooked with diced lamb.

Concorde Hotel The Best of Penang and Johor Ramadan Buffet

Ramadan Buffet Concorde Hotel Shah Alam

The Holy month of Ramadan is the best time for Muslims to cleanse their soul, focus on God and to put all the Holy teachings into practice. Muslims fast from dawn until sun sets, offering more frequent prayers and restraining from wicked intentions during this month. By doing so, they endeavour to cleanse themselves through self-control and great acts of faith.

During this month, Muslims wake up early to have their pre-dawn meal (Sahur) before the call for morning prayers (Solat Subuh). They will then fast for the rest of the day until they hear the call for the evening prayers (Solat Maghrib). Ties between family and friends get closer as Muslims seek forgiveness from each other and endure the month together. In this multi-cultural country, non-Muslims are always invited to join in the break fast meal as we live harmoniously together.

Stylish Fusion With Bursting Flavours

D'Fortune

When we arrived at the entrance of this café, we were welcome by this beautifully wood crafted panel with the word D’Fortune, so lovely. The day was lovely, so we decided to have our lunch outside and ordered a few cup of the lite warm lemon tea which was really really good and tasty.

lemondrink

Here came the lamb shank, it was tasty, crispy on the outside and meat is so tender and delicious. It came with homemade mashed potato which was smashingly delicious and not from those dried potato flakes which taste horrified. There were also cherry tomatoes, green beans and cauliflower.

Oh next came the heavenly tortilla filled with chicken sliced and melted mozzarella cheese. Guess what, there was salsa sauce to go with it too. The tortilla was awesome and soft and the mozzarella really melted my heart.

seafoodpasta

Oh next seafood pasta dish is something to shout about. I am not so sure what goes into this fried spaghetti but it was so fragrant and yummy delicious. It was the tastiest pasta dish that I ever had, prawn and squid were very fresh and not forgetting the mussels too.

sausages

Strangely came a huge plate fill with a variety of pan fried sausages. There were chicken and turkey filled with garlic, herbs and black pepper. It was tasty but I prefer to have thicker ones.

sunny

I thought we were going to have deep fried spring chicken but this devil looks rather smaller, oh! It was the “Sar Thin Kai” brought from Perak. It was nice, the meat was tender and the skin was crispy.

sartinkai

Oh! The finale, we had pan fried dory fish with baked melted cheese and accompany with olio-olio spaghetti. The fish was cooked to perfection and no fishy smell at all. We loved it!

doryfishpasta

Look we had a great feast!
