It had been sometime now that I had not been updating my blog but I am sure you would have caught me on my facebook (Sidney Kan). For a simple reason I had left my professorship and had been on light travelling. The destinations that had my foot marks were Langkawi, Bangkok and Jakarta. It was not soul-searching but rather a free and easy travelling. Seeing and eating were my objectives.

Back to this post, yet another favourite food tasting of mine I had recemtly. This time I caught up with a fantastic Master Dim Sum Chef Yoon Kong Thye who is based at Lai Ching Yuen Chinese Restaurant. He is a truly an artisan on what he creates best, a fabulous outstanding Dim Sum. Here, I got to confess that I had a fabulous time when I get to meet up with him at his open designed kitchen. :)

NO. 10 – The Grill 582 at Best Western Premier Dua Sentral

The year of 2012 was a very promising year for myself as it was the year of the discovery new eatery and also invasion on new food outlets especially i Kuala Lumpur. I guessed rating can be a difficult task but some how I managed to pack in my own Top 10 list. Stumbled into new place can enchanting act but having to walk into a new venue can also be rather tricky thing to embark on. As for my No. 10 it was such a great finding through a friend who took the energy to drag me to visit this eatery and having ended up being charmed till speechless. It is called the Grill 582 at Best Western Premier Dua Sentral and specially taken care by fabulous charming Chef Jaffery Othman. I was totally charmed by it’s wagyu, done in perfection while the ambient took my heart away. Definitely a must try !

It had been a great start this 2012 and it seems everything is falling in place at the right time and the right place. Looking out my window through early morning till now at nearly 9am the highway just next to my bedroom seemed to be packed like sarines. Drive safely folks this Chinese New Year.

Talking about food, I had a great time with great company at Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur recently. I was there to taste their buffet dishes for this Chinese New Year and it was terrific. There were about 15 of us sharing a huge round table filled with luscious dining ware and golden Chinese New Year decos specially created for that night. We were welcome with a fabulous delicious Prosperity Splash Drink that came with a whole pineapple and it was a delicious drink to grace the night.

The drama is the reboot successor of the 2009 award-winning drama Rosy Business, which was the second most-viewed drama in Hong Kong of the year by average. The cast from the No Regrets was in Kuala Lumpur recently to promote their No Regrets TV series showcasing from 21st November on Astro sponsored by Pensonic. The cast was truly awesome in keeping up with their fans, each of the cast sang their favourite song, had games partnering with the lucky fans, photgraphing and had a poster autographing. The month of August and September are both the most busiest time for me, I had been running here and there without aa rest. But I got to say I am enjoying it, learning new things got me going. Throught this, I had experienced great moments and not forgetting some nasty ones too. As for food, that is a different story: everytime it never ever fail to inspire with the greatest joy, Lek Lek at Sri Kembangan was totally fabulous. I was left with wordless.

I stumbled acroos this shop recently after reading some review by other foodies and yet how can I resist of not pay a visit to this eatry, it was located not too far from my place. Upon arriving I can see see people spooning into their bowl of warm porridge definitely excited me. Arriving at the right timing after a heavy rain making the wanting of a bowl can be even more pleasant, definitely wuill give a warm feeling.
