Belvedere Vodka Creates The Taste Of Victory
Belvedere Vodka cocktails inspired by Paco Rabanne’s Invictus fragrance

Frangipani 1

Calling all champions! The world’s first luxury vodka, Belvedere Vodka, turns its attention toward modern day athletes to celebrate the adrenaline-induced taste of heroic success.

Throwing down the gauntlet to this challenge is Paco Rabanne Invictus, a sports fragrance that goes beyond track and field, playing up the social fantasy it represents and going beyond a strictly literal scent narration. The Invictus hero is riding the high of what comes next – the rush of sensations from an overwhelming win, the tumult of a crowd carrying him on their shoulders and tearing at his clothes, an exulting body bearing the visible signs of success, and the alluring promise of many even more sensual conquests to come.

Nasi Lemak Atan Chow Kit

Nasi Lemak Atan 2
Rows of Atan’s Packed Nasi Lemak

Having to attend events that ends at late night can be tricky to find something to eat except to be present at a mamak stall. I always like to defunct on my schedule. I diverted to Chow Kit night market and surpisingly got my bamboo starfruit and something I would like to try on, a bunch of tapioca shots/leaves. The ferns will definitely to be cooked with dense coconut milk, turmeric and birds eye chili. After the buying and negotiating, it was time to have an early morning breakfast. The nearest and not so heavy indulgence would best to drop by Atan’s Nasi Lemak, just across.

Pau Loong Banquet Hall Teluk Intan

Pau Long Banquet Hall Teluk Intan 13
Pau Loong Banquet Hall Teluk Intan

Having to be invited and wait to taste the gourmet that is building up in the kitchen can be such mind blowing thing to do. “Will it be delicious or will it be a flop?”, I always ask myself when I am confronted with such dinner meet. I am truly not a good liar like some do, I just can’t smile and blow out the whistle of good news. Hence I learned the technique of conveying the not so good news in a good manner and work it out with the chefs and come out with a good solution. As for myself I just can’t hammer the badness of the food like some do. Some people thinks they have the right to talk bad in the public just because they pay for the food, to me I think they are bad people with just bad after taste.

As for me this time I travelled a bit further with a two and the half hours car drive at about an average of 80km/hour. Yes my first time out of Kuala Lumpur town for a food review. I was thrilled and excited about this trip. It had been some time now I wanted to try out his cooking, Chef Q (Khiew) at his restaurant Pau Loong Banquet Hall located at Teluk Intan. Amazing how one can be like myself will do, just due to the thrill of taste and the awesome goodness of food.

Restaurant Teo Chiew Ipoh

A drive from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh is not a difficult task, head to the North South highway and within 2.5hours you will land yourself in Ipoh. I did this yesterday and head right away to this place called Restaurant Teo Chiew at Maxwell Road not far away from Kuala Kangsar Road and meet up with Mr Lim the owner himself. I was so lucky. Great innovative man himself, carrying an abundance of food experience while his wife heads the kitchen over nearly 20years. The two is definitely the Bonnie and Clyde of the food. Having to hear of his eating around story I was amazed. I am definitely his new crusader!

Belvedere Vodka Takes Flight With Jimmy Choo

Belvedere Vodka cocktails inspired by the fashion and glamour of Jimmy Choo

Belvedere Vodka 1

Belvedere Vodka, the world’s first luxury vodka, is synonymous with fashion and glamour around the world, playing host to key parties during London and New York Fashion Week every year. Cementing this fashion association is Belvedere Vodka’s latest collaboration with luxury brand Jimmy Choo that will run at participating bars from July to August 2013.

Taking cues from Jimmy Choo’s second fragrance, Flash, an ultra modern white floral fragrance, five of Kuala Lumpur’s top bars have created signature Belvedere Vodka cocktails that capture the cool rush of excitement and the sense of power a woman feels when dressed in a pair of sexy shoes. The Jimmy Choo woman is at once provocative and a little bit naughty, she challenges convention; she’s a risk taker, charming, audacious and magnetic.

On that particular noon, we were let looseand went wondering in the city centre trailing 3 participating outlets – Twenty One Kitchen + Bar at Changkat, Sky Bar at Traders Hotel and Circus at Pavilion.
