Bali Hai Kota Damansara 6
Green Lobster and Canadian Geoduck Sashimi with Superior Soup Steamboat

At recent I was invited to try out BAli Hai’s Live Lobster and my pleasure. Well I got admit it was something that I myself can’t reject to. I was definitely a YES to Lobster ! My favourite especially when it is being served raw just like a generous spread of sashimi. That evening it was truly a heaven as carefully picked geoduck was plated together with the lobster. Truly exciting.

Revisit The Uma at The Strand Kota Damansara

The Uma Rice
The Uma Rice

This had been my countless return back to dine at The Uma, a very appealing and authentic Balinese restaurant located at The Strand, Kota Damansara. This time I took my two ladies, my mum and aunt to dine here over a lazy weekend. It is definite a place to be when you are looking for a relaxing place with enjoying an authentic food. It had been appealing to me because of it’s unique cosy deco. A very lay back atmopshere. It remindered me of my stay at the Bali resort last year, a very pampering feeling with a touch of posh feeling. Yes it’s The Uma.

Rogers Delight at Kota Damansara

roger delight
Roger Delight

Roger Delight sounds very American, just like the diners. But don’t let of such to fool you, Roger Delights is a newly opened Chinese cuisine outlet located just about my neighbourhood here at Kota Damansara. The owner/chef Roger Chong had recently flown back from US to set up his restaurant after spending his culinary venture. With his wide experience in authentic Chinese cuisine, Nyonya cuisine would be his pick for this restaurant. The food here is absolutely delicious with a touch of authenticness. Lovely.

Our table was filled with a variety of indulgence cuisine ranging from a variety of fresh herbs like lemongrass, gelanga, limau purut, ginger, laksa leafs, curry leafs and many more variation of local herbs and spices. Every dish was perfectly and uniquely crafted. Trust me, you will enjoy them like I did.

Weekend Cocktails with pairing Canapes

Movida Midori Martini
Midori Martini

Having a relax weekend is something I would love to indulge into. Jumping into one at anytime, anywhere and whenever I can would be just the thing to do. One way is to have a strings of delicious cocktail with a few awesome friends and some great light food. In Kuala Lumpur there are plenty of such great places and I was recommended to one. When I landed at the venue that day, I have six great delicious cocktails and you should see how merry I was but definitely it will not get me into a marriage as yet.

Not only the cocktails were at their best, I found their canapes were terrific too. I would say it was an awesome marriage, it was the perfect pairing, the cocktails and the canepes just came haunting me over and over again. I was left with full of lust and it just mesmerizing.

Next, I make sure I get to meet up with the creators, Joe Michael and Chef Shan. Joe Michael a great mixologist himself knows his every cocktails by heart and never fails to tempt me for another round. Just delicious! While having eight years of experience, I am sure nothing can stop him from not creating lovely drinks. As for Chef Shan, a young fabulous chef and keep churning delicious food. He is just only 38years old. I just love fingering into his charming delicious and creative food. Not to mention the presentation. He crafts great Mediterranean and Italian dishes just to my liking. Tasty and exciting.

Mei Chixuan Restaurant 1

We have been a frequent to this restaurant which just located nearby our place here in Kota Damansara, famously known for it’s simple, authentic and affordable creation, the Mei Chixuan Restaurant headed by owner and chef, Chef Steven. This restaurant had been in this neighbourhood since we moved into our new condo, almost about more than two years now. I love indulging his creations for example the Shi Chuan Peppered Chicken, Claypot Fish, Steam Big Clams with homemade Red Rice Wine, The Mini Monk Jump Over The Wall, The Eight Treasure Duck and many more desireable and delicous creation. Sometimes myself and Chef Steven would sit down after a meal to discuss about food creation and exchange notes, lucky me! :)
