Carving the Peking Duck with Chef Wong Lian You

I was truly excited with the Tao, one of the latest opening Chinese restaurant in town. Tao found it’s way at The InterContinental Hotel right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur along Jalan Ampang. The interior was filled with black shaded cabinets that filled with a variety of Chinese teapots while one corner of the bright glass wall was filled the painted sakura flowers. I got to compliment Tao for having such a beautiful showcase ceiling lightings as the main centre piece.

FUKUHARU Hock Choon Terrace

Sashimi _salmon and Hamachi
Sashimi Salmon and Hamachi

We were lucky to have stumbled upon this lovely place for a kaiseki indulge, a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner. The restaurant named Fukuharu located at Hock Choon Terrace along Jalan Ampang. The setting of the terrace was so adorable and it housed three restaurants and a cafe, Fukuharu was one of them. During in the evening this place can be really classic, serene and exclusive, just the right place to host a private dinner and even a romantic dinner.

Our beautifully decorated Mukozuke painted with fresh Yellowtail (Hamachi) and Salmon rolled over with shredded Japanese cucumber was so superb to look at as it was really delicious and all just disappeared in seconds, I wanted more.

Fashion to Icing Cake Designs

It was just another weekend roaming in town where I look for inspiration. I saw this dress which I had captured through my lense at the Art & Craft Centre when I was visiting the Malaysia Tourism Centre along Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur. The colours were so soft, vibrant, elegant and such a unique combination. It was a modern flora batik design and crafted into an elegant evening dress. The colours somehow had embedded deep in my head and it was so strong that I decided to transfer them into my crafted icing cake.

Truely, it is fun to create something so inspiring when you never know what you can stumble upon.

Love, Sunny Yaw
