I was there this week for a treat of new dishes and was smacked with great sweet surprised especially their wild river prawn cooked in pineapple wine which was truly refreshing and his white water duckling that left me sucking my fingers.

Agent 7.7 woke up with a throbbing headache. Memories of last night’s events seemed hazy to him. All he remembers is the smoky bar and the last drink he had, before finding himself covered in cold sweat on the floor of his hotel room. He searches around for his Galaxy Tab 7.7 but quickly discovers that it has gone missing! Suddenly, it all came back to him.

At recent I attended a tasting event at Dragon-i, the guests included myself were showered with delicious gourmet. We were well seated and we kept busy with fresh fruit juices and Chinese tea while a huge colourful platter of ‘Yee Sang’ appeared right infront of us ready to be indulged. Got to confess, my main hard to resist mission was to smack lip myself into their famous treasure pot. This time I was informed that we were going to try out their Signature Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot which cost RM688++ that came with a mixture of the most exquisite quality Chinese foods available, including 6-heads braised premium Australian Abalones, premium Japanese Sea Cucumber, authentic shark’s fin, premium Japanese dried scallops, specially selected fish belly, premium fish maw and twelve more quality ingredients, filled with Dragon-i’s signature broth. It was totally a gastronomical indulgence, heaven to me.

Known him since I started food blogging and that was nearly five years ago and Master Chef Steven Cheng never fails not to impress me with his series of cooking. The gourmet food that churned out from his kitchen is absolutely speakless and unique. I still remember we used to sit down and explored the food we had indulged, sometimes we even create new dishes. This time I was invited for a private dinner tocelebrate his birthday where his lobster creation was showcased. We have sabu sabu lstyle obster as our grand opening over warm pot of “yuk chok” soup.

It was an awesome night as a bunch of us got a glimpse to experience a barbeque feast at Bar.B.Q which where definitely an great fun with a delicate taste. We got to experience their Supreme Pork Set and also the Supereme Beef Set. The place was spacious and when we were there, the place was nearly full and our food excursion at Bar.B.Q that night was amazing fabulous.

This time I crawled myself into yet another exciting indulgence of feast over a comfort and affordable dinner. Not a new kid in town, had a handful recommendation by foodies, Yin Her or Silver River was my next stop. Unique point of this place, it is located next to a fishing pond.

I heard a lot of awesome feedbacks on Taiwan street food and here in Kuala Lumpur we bound to meet such appealing food lingering at every corner, some even had ingeniously modification to suit local taste. At recent i was invited to such a feast at the newly refurbished Fahrenheit 88 located along Jalan Bukit Bintang. Located at 2nd floor we found Yummy Taiwan, the Taiwanese street gourmet. Very appealing indeed.

Gathered with a few of us we crusaded for pub food at Kepong and we landed ourself with the BEST pub dish! We had the most delicious PORK KNUCKLE in town at Deutsches Gasthaus 5. The pork crackle was amazingly light crisp and just melt right away in my mouth. While inside the meat was a well season and tenderly moist. It was just pure pampering.

A restaurant that brings us the culinary masterpiece from Shanghai omce touted as the “Paris of the East” truly exciting. This stylish Shanghainese restaurant has it’s elegant in taste which stands out so well with comfort. It was beautifully decorated with classic looked. Easily at a glance of detailed carving of dragon and phoenix motifs on it furnitures while antique lacquered Chinese folding screens occupied as the centre piece of the dining room. Elegant and classic.

Shanghai, the restaurant itself is headed by two exciting and well experienced master chefs from Hong Kong, Chef Wong Wing Yeuk and dim sum Chef Kwok Kam Hung. Together, they have created more than 100 dishes that chowcase the vibrant and distinctive flavours of Shanghai.

During this time I was at Shanghai Restaurant to try out their exquiste hairy crabs. Autumn in China is the perfect season to indulge it’s fresh water hairy crabs as it is the time when the crabs are at their peak, most succulent and delicious. It is made available only from the ninth to eleventh months in the Chinese lunar calender. I was told here at Shanghai Restaurant, all the hairy crabs are specially flown in from Shanghai, China and awesome creation of dishes are served. Steamed Shanghainese Hairy Crab, Braised Superior Shark’s Fin Soup with Hairy Crab Meat and Roe, Fried Bamboo Fish Fillets with Hairy Crab Meat and Roe, Steamed Shanghainese Dumplings with Hairy Crab Meat and Roe, Sitr-Fried Flat Glass Noodle with Hairy Crab Meat and Roe and the dishes goes on . . . awesome dishes on the menu. Well thought and superbly crafted.
