100+ All Time Dim Sum at West Lake Garden Chinese Restaurant Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa

Dim Sum West Lake Chinese Restaurant Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa 2
West Lake Garden Chinese Restaurant’s Dim Sum Master Chef Low Kim Ong

Last we I was invited to have a One to One session with Dim Sum Master Chef Low Kim Ong and we were both rather nervous at start as I expected more tasters be joining me. Surprising, myself, my invited guest and my inviters had a cosy table set near the window with a fabulous Sunway Lagoon view at the restaurant. The lunch Dim Sum here at West Lake Garden had an interesting change of setting, they are moving into all time traditional Dim Sum setting, more casual with Dim Sum carts and a showcase of live cooking. One can witness claypot cooking while Dim Sums take on the bamboo steaming. It was a fabulous lunch for me, it was busy and filled with great sight and sound backdrops with more than 100 variation of Dim Sum at your service. How can one like myself resist such temptation.

FUKUHARU Hock Choon Terrace

Sashimi _salmon and Hamachi
Sashimi Salmon and Hamachi

We were lucky to have stumbled upon this lovely place for a kaiseki indulge, a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner. The restaurant named Fukuharu located at Hock Choon Terrace along Jalan Ampang. The setting of the terrace was so adorable and it housed three restaurants and a cafe, Fukuharu was one of them. During in the evening this place can be really classic, serene and exclusive, just the right place to host a private dinner and even a romantic dinner.

Our beautifully decorated Mukozuke painted with fresh Yellowtail (Hamachi) and Salmon rolled over with shredded Japanese cucumber was so superb to look at as it was really delicious and all just disappeared in seconds, I wanted more.

La Dolce Vita with Castello Banfi at Tai Zi Heen Prince Hotel

Castello Banfi is a family owned vineyard estate and winery in the Brunello region of Tuscany. Together with its sister estates in Piedmont, Vigne Regali and Principessa Gavi, it has become recognized the world over for its dedication to excellence and sparking a renaissance in the art of Italian winemaking. The Mariani family proprietors credit education, dedication and discipline for the success that has accorded honors including:

11 Consecutive Years ~ Italy’s Premier Vineyard Estate at the VinItaly wine fair.

The first winery to be internationally recognized for exceptional environmental, ethical and social
responsibility (ISO 14001 and SA 8000) as well as an international leader in customer satisfaction (ISO 9001:2000).

Winery of the Year by both Wine Enthusiast and Wine & Spirits Magazine and Top Ten Wines (Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Poggio all’Oro) by Wine Spectator.

Perhaps most gratifying of all is the praise of neighboring vintners who acknowledge Banfi’s role in pioneering a new era in Brunello and bringing the wine world’s attention to Montalcino. Banfi has pioneered clonal research on the Sangiovese vine to produce a more consistently excellent Brunello di Montalcino, and reduced sulfites and histamines through more organic winemaking. Technological advances, including customized cooperage for more balanced wines, nitrogen bottling to eliminate the addition of sulfites, electrodialysis to allow flavors to emerge, and development of fermenters that combine both stainless steel and wood, are balanced with a profound respect for tradition and deep expression of the local terroir
and microclimate. In the end, at Castello Banfi, winemaker and nature partner to allow the wine’s natural pedigree to emerge in artful expression.

Though savoring these achievements as they would a glass of their finest vintage, family proprietors Cristina Mariani May and James Mariani are hardly resting on their laurels. In the continual pursuit of superior quality ingrained in them by their fathers, Castello Banfi cofoundersand brothers John and Harry Mariani, they work constantly to improve upon every detail, from winemaking and packaging to the estate’s renowned hospitality.

The Marianis established Castello Banfi in 1978, assembling a contiguous estate of 7,100 acres (2,830 hectares). A constellation of single vineyards spreads out to cover only 1/3 of the property, starting with the undeniable concept that quality is determined first and foremost in the vineyard.

Teochew Cooking with Master Chef Tony Gao, Guangzhou – Series 4

An elegant Chinese restaurant specialising in contemporary Cantonese delicacies and dim sum. The décor is reminiscent of the grand ancestral homes of Chinese-Malaysian tycoons from the turn of the century. The elegant décor is redolent of the great ancestral homes of 19th Century Chinese tycoons, with Asian artefacts and ornate chandeliers. The atmosphere is theatrical, thanks to our hierarchy of Chinese chefs, who showcase their skills in the open kitchen with a display of their culinary skills at their flaming woks. Seven exquisite private rooms allow our guests an intimate ambience for private gatherings.

But wherever you sit, the menu is exquisite – think delicate Crepe Durian Pancakes and Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin
