Restaurant Woo Ng Kee Pan fired Baby Kai Lan
Mei Lan Mei Lan Woh Ai Nee

My next food excursion had landed myself and my team indulging yet another truly hidden treasure here at Kepong. We visited Woo Ng Kee Restaurant at Taman Ehsan located at Kepong. Yes Kepong has amazing food outlet to be discovered. Woo Ng Kee has 60years in food with three generations of chefs in it’s record. First it started at Pudu roda side stalls nearby the historical Pudu Jail and relocated nearly 26years to Taman Ehsan.

First came a truly delicious home cooking dish named after a famous 70’s song “Mei Lan Mei Lan Woh Ai Nee” mei Lan Mei Lan I Love You. Simple and yet a delicious dish. It was cleverly dish out with the combination of refinely chopped sweet and salted preserved mustard cabbage over minced pork and young Kai Lan. Vey well dry wok fried. Very bold and fragrant. I just love it. Goes very well with a bowl of steamed white rice.

I could not believed that I had located this restaurant that was hidden in the isolated area near Desa Aman Puri. I had been having a great time over the weekend although I have been struggling for time. I have been baking macarons with a great group of students of mine, some budding up coming young chefs from UITM, some were excited baby bakers and some got too interested yet excited with macarons. All of them did very well and all the macarons baked was a success, non cracks, all just perfect! You gals were awesome, now I am waiting with less stress for their home results, gosh! I am already excited, definitely my mobile and email will be flooded this coming weeks, and I hope not! :)

I was also had been busy sculpturing a two tier 50th birthday cake which came out to be gorgeous it was finished with black and red in colour. The feedback was truly positive, they like it! Then I had an australian cafe food excursion near my place and it was awesomely gorgeous. I truly love the burgers and salad yet it was so affordable. I can’t give you much details of it as Sidny will be reviewing it on his food blog soon.

Serai Satay Bar 1

During this school holiday my little kid nephew Pong Chai was staying with me for 2 weeks and I took him for a satay excursion at Serai Satay Bar located at the basement of Pavilion.

I love dropping by Serai Satay Bar almost everytime I do my shopping here, I just can’t leave without having half a dozen of it’s beef and lamb satay! Yes I just adore them, although the price is slightly higher than the one’s sold outside but the portion served here is rather satisfying huge! 😉
