Tao at Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur had recently launched the BEST table in the house, luxury private dining experience with the first Chinese cuisine Chef’s Table in the city and I had glimpse of this dining experience.

Just a few days ago I managed to catch up with the tasting of the Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2013 at MIDORI Japanese Restaurant that serve delicious Tokyo-Style Japanese cuisine. I got to say I had been wanting to dine here at MIDORI as I heard lots of great reviews about their food. As usual with my tight schedule it was hard to schedule to dine here but at last I made it.

I just love October as it is the time to enjoy some refined, cultivated and well crafted food especially during this year MIGF 2011 (Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2011). My first festival stop was at this sophisticated place called The Restaurant located at the Club, Suajana. I got to say, I knew that I was going to drown with full of pampering even before my arrival as always I am well taken by Pat, the General Manager of the Club. In my own discrete believe, The Club is one of the best place to stay that comes with great hospitality, fill with good food and luxurious pampering.

I just adore this restaurant as it serves one of the top grilled in town. This restaurant truly has it’s charm and the food just incredible delicious. Itserves beautiful grilled tenderloin, lamb, chicken, prawns and sausages. What makes them so delicious and tasty? I believe it must be the freshness of the ingredients and great marination.

This time I am back at Bossa Nova to taste their New Year Eve Menu, a 5-course set dinner which was just amazingly prepared by an ingenious in-house and boyish Chef Loo. It was truly a refine dinner that I enjoyed that night. Definetely a perfect dinner for this New Year Eve celebration.

To start off the dinner, I had light slices poarched lobster topped with black caviar accompanied with Golden Kiwi Vinaigrette and Shiso Mix. The kiwi Vinaigratte was truly delightful and ingeniuosly infused great flavors into the sliced lobster. I found it truly dazzled!

Next was a light refreshing consomme filled with bursting flavour of porcini mushroom. Having a light soup can be truly delightful than having a thick milk based ones. I like it, it reminds me of caramel onion soup when I was in New York.
