Hey! I am back! yes I had been away and had spend a great valuable time in Taiwan. Well it was a holiday and see see for me and I took my mum with me too. It was an explosive to visit, lovely Taiwan and enjoyed the variation of awesome goodness of Taiwan cuisine.

Now I am back with full of energy and loads of work to be done! I know I had been rather quiet and had been behind the scene relaxing lol! Anyway, there will be some changes and soon really be implemented, more new baking class and I will be showcasing more varaition of cakes and recipes here on www.bigboysoven.com, meaning you will see more of me! As for food, we will be setting up another webpage called food.bigboysoven.com and Sidney Kan will be penning down his food excursion!

This post really go Green and sounds like we had not got enough of St Patrick’s Day! Yeah I had countless pints of Guinness and a great outing time with my makan mates. Truly we had been busy and yet really we do not know how to split ourselves when comes to work! :) Got to say it still one of those exciting challenges that keep us, the boys awake and going. It had been awesome when I took the offer to contribute some of my food excusion experiences to one of our major newspaper, New Straits Times and we got to meet so many interesting people and yet loads of delicious food, also not forgetting as it goes we learned many new things and important tips too.

In April we will be gearing up with loads of recipes to be prepared for our up coming cooking and baking classes (a working partnership with Samsung) and it is definitely going to be exciting and do come, have fun together with us in the kitchen this coming due date (This May I was told)!

It had been great and the elasticity of my schedule had been put to test . . . . yes, life had been very hectic but truly enjoyed every second of it. It just awesome and do melts my heart when people showed appreciation my work done and things that I am pushing myself to do, just incredible! I had took up a few challenges recently with a total different direction on what I had been doing, thanks for believing in us. but I will defintely not giving up blogging.

What did I do last week? Can you believe me, I was on a healthy eating spree. One was at a Japanese healthy eating of twelve special individually prepared course meal which was just superb and another was a truly eating pleasure of nine course organic classic western cuisine.

As for a try on a western healthy eating, I dropped by at Senses, Hilton Kuala Lumpur to try out their organic cuisine. In order to create a spread of scumptous organic dishes, Chef Michael Elfwing carefully selected a range of organic certified chemical free ingredients and produce from Australia and with natural flavours. Chef Michael also had also to optimal his cooking methods and preparation specially for this occasion.

Early this morning, Veron of Kitchen Musing remindered me about life, love, struggle and passion. I can relate to Veron in many many ways, we had nothing, we fought hard, we struggle, we keep on moving and for now we can see a light in this tunnel that make us realise the risk was worth taking for, every tear worth millions. I believe if we beileve in oneself we can achieve the dreams! How heavy the storm we are facing, we will be able to get through!

DESSERTS FOR TAG HEUER

THE LAUNCHING OF MERIDIIST

Last week we were in Kuala Lumpur for the media launching of a new unique communication instrument by Tag Heuer called The Meridiist, the perfect cosmopolitan travelling companion, uniting formal purity with functional perfection.

Meridiist is swiss engineered and hand assembled from 430 components and constructed from corrosion-resistant, watch making 316L steel which is lovely. It also comes with a unsratchable 60.5 carats sapphire crystal dual displays. This piece of communication and time teller is so slick, I am sure every successful men would love to own it, me too (something I would die for having . . .).

Why were we there? Yes, we were there to prepare the dessert! We were requested to come up with some lovely desserts for the event and I proposed something simple, gorgeous and musculant which will definitely go well with Meridiist. Tag Heuer’s colors were lovely too, therefore I used red, green and white for the desserts. Here is my dessert list for the day, white cream cupcakes, big chocolat macarons, huge strawberry tarts and greentea cream cheese tarts.

This is a finger bite white cream cheese tart I baked, crispy tart shell filled with tangy cream cheese.

I had replaced the white cream cheese with greentea cream cheese and topped it with some greentea powder to give a deep green effect. Looked awesome.

It was a great fun to come up with the event’s dessert and would like to thank Agnes. I am sure there will be more exciting challenges ahead, I just can’t wait and will defintely keep you inform . . . Love Sunny Yaw
