Last Thursday I was invited to cook at the invitation of the Embassy of Sweden and Chef Michael Elfwing was heading the session together with the H.E Bengt G Carlson, Ambassador of Sweden to Malaysia and Ms Paula Conway of Starhill Culinary Studio. It was an exciting morning as three recipe were introduced an entrement Fish Lasagne, the main Corned beef while Swedish Buttercake grazed the dessert entry.

Just love coming back to this heavenly exclusiverestaurant set in the hub of the city centre, 7atenine. It is definitely the iconic lifestyle destination expecially if your are looking for good food and fabulous slush of drinks. That night I was on a loose treat of the delicious Hazelnut Caipirinha and a date with a marching roll of delecate Japanese cuisine. With a thundery wash down of Billecart-Salmon Champagne. It was defintely a night of pure wild luxurious.

The ballroom was filled to the brim with dignitaries from the embassy. The villain was lurking amidst the crowd yet Agent 7.7 had to ensure he remains undetected. The sleek design of brushed metal makes him blend in perfectly with the occasion. Barely an hour into his arrival, he heard a loud piercing scream from the main hall.

Early this month I was inviting for a whisky appreciation and tasting at the headquarters of Moët Hennessy Diageo Malaysia. It is not an easy feat to achieve when comes to the exquisite unravelling of layers upon layers of flavour that is experienced when enjoying Glenmorangie whisky. As a purveyor of perfection and maker of arguably the most delicious and complex single malt whisky in the world, Glenmorangie goes to great lengths to achieve such mastery. Advocating this mindset of perfection is Arnaud Mirey, Regional Brand Ambassador for Glenmorangie who conducted a single malt whisky tasting session on that aftrernoon. I got to say it was a truly naked experience for me. I was thrilled. It was classic.

At a recent event, I was invited by Mrs Carmen Rawstron to try out some of her fabulous Venezuelan dishes. I knew Mrs Carmen Rawstron way back early 2010 when celebrity Chef Tamara Rodriquez was in town. We basically meet on the common ground, the kitchen. A very elegant lady with full of charm, that is how I would describe Mrs Carmen Rawstron. I had noticed about her when I was with Chef Tamara, she was very creative in her cooking and the taste of her dishes were unique and ftasty. I was truly excited when Mrs Carmen told me about writing her first cooking book. At last she had it executed with such a success. I find the book very appealing and easy to follow.

The ingredients are simple and easy to find here in Kuala Lumpur. “It so adorable and so irresistible, it is a must have recipe book”, I told myself. That night was not only a book launching but all the guests were showcaesd to Mrs Carmen’s delicious cooking. Yes it was authincily delicious. The dessert was too die for.
