It was really fabulous to have been invited to a private tasting and the invitation came from John Ross Junior Smoked Salmon and it was held at the Curious Goat, an artisan coffee place located at Damansara Perdana. Thanks to Borneo Harvest Kuala Lumpur I was chauffeured to a few wholesome finest selection of delicious smoked salmon directly flown in from Scotland. It was a nice casual and relaxing ambient flushed with good eating.

I was very pleased to be able to spoon into the Nyonya Debbie’s refined Nyonya cooking recently. This little petite lady truly caught me naked with her such dazzling cooking filled my air with wholesome aroma of fresh Asian herbs and spices. I got to confess that her dishes that evening was terrific and spot on, every dish was carefully crafted by herself. Her “Ikan Perut” was beautifully done and her “Rempah Udang” a sweet that left me craving for more.

At recent I was at Bulgogi Brothers to try out their much raved burgers and I had a fabulous time. Their burgers were excellent, juicy and delicious. This round Bulgogi Brothers had introduced four of their signature burgers: BIBIMBAP BURGER, UNYANG BURGER, KIMCHI BURGER and GWANGYANG BURGER. All four was my favourite as each of them were pretty unique in taste and flavour, you must check them out yourself.

It was an awesome evening where I was introduce to the showcase of Tai Thong mooncakes. I was speechless especially when I had a face to face encounter with their Premium Durian Duet that consist of D24 and Red Prawn durian fillings. It was fragrant and fresh in texture. It truly got me obsessed. Not only this two devils in play but there are two more durian being line up for this year mooncake feast, Imperial Musang king Royale and Snow Skin Durian Coulis. All four has their own distinct flavour and taste, I for all will indulge any one of them as I am a durian fanatic.

The Poon Choy came in a claypot and was filled up with Tian Jin cabbage, lotus root, beancurd stick, wheat gluten, white radish, celery, poached chicken, roast duck, broccoli, pig trotters, mushroom, fish maw, dried yster, prawns and golden fish ball.
