Having to able to make them at perfectly, it had taken me ages of trying, experimenting and playing within my small little kitchen. It was defintely a fun thing to do. While embarking into teaching more students into mastering this little jewels was truly my mission and having to see more growing macaron fans can be such a satifying thing to see happening right this moment in Kuala Lumpur.

Last Sunday, The Sin Chew Daily’s supplementary newspaper Happy had main featured local well known food bloggers and Big Boys Oven was not left out, we were featured to along VKeong, CK Lam and Ken Chan and some Chinese written food blog too were not spared such as Hong Kitchen, Food Inspiration, Rachel Hei, NCrazy Kitchen and Watashi-Sim.

This was truly awesome, we were really caught by surprise upon knowning we were interviewed and foodies gonna be featured on newspaper. During my interview, I spoken about why we blog about food.

“It’s simple, if the food is good, we would post them on our blog, if the food is not great, we don’t post it up”

“Upon known the cost invovled in setting up an eatery, we usually do not want to criticize the food if it is not tasty, we just just don’t write about it and if it permits we will let the proprietor know indirectly”

“We blog because we want to introduce the goodness of the food availablity our readers and also indirectly will help the eatery, as most can’t really afford to advertise and we never ever get paid to write”

It is marvellous to be known and to be picked up by the main media, I hope with others foodies we may publish a foodie guide book, “Where to Eat”.

This is the newspaper that I reading while I was in Penang over the weekend and I think it is very awesomely written. It is also a way for me to wish everyone especially my readers and fans a Merry Christmas! Yup my ginger biscuit recipe was featured on the Guang Ming Daily Newspaper and I hope you will enjoy my year end fun creation.

Big Boys Oven was featured on the current November 2009 issue of Smart Iinfo 90 magazine. It stories about how Big Boys Oven started on-line, achievements and my dreams . . . . . . .

The workshop took about a day to be exactly, 8hours with a lunch photography session. Gosh, they get to eat and take pictures for their first blog post. This is so cool! What was the best installed for that day was, I get to meet the famous chef, Chef Asma. Nowadays you get to see her on telly, yeah a celebrity chef  herself and also a newbie in bloging! Chef Asma brought her beautiful cupcakes for a photo session that afternoon.

I love this magazine as it is very informative, lots of lovely photos and mostly it is so very affordable, just only RM2.99! Available at major newspaper outlets and bookstores. Better get one now before there are all sold out! . . .yours Sunny Yaw
