This really fun when I managed to get some time playing with my sugar paste. With my itchy fingers, I created a few funny characters for some of my mini cupcakes. I just felt like a happy free five years old kid, creativity without boundaries. Some looks cool and some looks ugly too . . . .

This month I will be busy doing some sponsoring such as the up coming Carven Ong’s student graduation, pet’s outing at Bandar Utama Park and a Bridal Pre-Launching . . . . .. . oh yes and Christmas just round the corner too! Just awesome!

I had kept this Donna Hay’s cupcake paper casings for sometime now and had been reluctant to use them as they are so beautiful to use and it was a present from a well known Australian blogger who happened to be in Kuala Lumpur for a holiday. But the temptation of using them was so great that my fingers did the talking and here are my cupcakes creations, yes the yellow ducklings.

My inspiration came for the heavy rain lately and it had been raining non-stop. As to cheer myself up, I decided to sculpture some little yellow ducklings for the cupcakes that I baked. In fact have some of this duckling sculputred few months ago and presented them to my baking students in Penang and they adored the yellow ducklings.

I did not ask Taufulou who he presented this gift to but it was such a challenge when comes to sculpturing this piece of art! . . . . just awesome, Sunny Yaw

Mummy Syeba requested a birthday cake as she was planning a birthday surprise for her daughter little Zi Er as she will be celebrating her 4 years old. The cake design was channel through and this was Zi Er’s birthday cake that I sculptured, a 3tier birthday cake! Happy Birthday Zi Er ! . . . . . from Uncle Sunny!

Auntie Lai Ming who was famous and known for her acting in “Empat Sekawan” (Four Great Friends) even when I was very young. Over her 50 years of dedication in acting, Auntie Lai Ming recently this year was nominated for the best Supporting Actress in the prestigious Golden Horse Awards 2008 for her excellent protrayal of a dedicated mother who gives a lot of love to her children in the movie “Money No Enough 2″. This movie is one of my favourite and also a must watch movie if you have not do so.

So recently NV Multi Coperation Berhad’s Nirvana had appointed Auntie Lai Ming to become the ambassador to promote good virtues to cultivate a loving and caring society. As the ambassador, Auntie Lai Ming had recently completed one three-minute-long television commercial and five short radio commercial that reflect Nirvana’s core values and promote filial piety. The commercials have already started airing on 988 radio station and Astro’s Wah Lai Toi’s channel.

During the signing ceremony that officiated Auntie Lai Ming’s role as the ambassador, Nirvana had celebrated Auntie Lai Ming’s 82 years old birthday by having a birthday cake cutting celebration.

Auntie Lai Ming’s Birthday Cake was sculptured and designed by myself, a 3kg Passion Fruit Moussecake.

I was awesome that I get to meet up with my all time favourite celebrity actress Auntie Lai Ming and having such an opportunity to sculpture her a birthday cake . . . . . just a fantastic experience, an excited Sunny Yaw!:)

I had a great weekend, busy with work at my cake studio and also eating out with friends. Another coming great weekend will be happening again soon, this time I will be assisting Chef Ben Beh on his bread baking classes and also lots of cake baking.

This morning I will be delivering an awesome birthday cake to one of our most famous local actress whom I adore so much, practically I grew up watching her tv dramas and now her movies too, she is the famous auntie Lai Meng.

Last week Eiling gave me a call wanting to have a cake sculptured for her mates birthday on friday night and wanting a pair of D breast over a tasteful lingerie. I only had 2 days to get it done. On that friday Eiling came over to pick up the sculputured cake and to my surprised, she gave a surprise present, two boxes of FIDANI CHOCOLATE, it was truely awesome, delicous, I ate one box myself that night and the other one the next day! Truly FIDANI, truly delicious!

This is my latest bakes, a bunch of oriental flavoured macarons and I called them, The Black Stallion. They looked so pretty awesome purely black and glossy shine, yet so eye catching indeed, I just adore them.

A girlfriend of mine said, ” One look, I am totally in love with them, so man, so slick!”

For this Black Stallion macaron shell, I decided to match them with japanese black sesame cream. The flavour of the black sesame cream tasted subtle and pretty awesome with a hint of saltiness, just balance the sweetness of the macaron shell.

The whole black stallion macaron tasted ingeniously refine, crusty shell with a gummy texture and ended with a delicious pungent after taste of the black sesame.

I also took the opportunity to explore the usage of japanese white sesame cream and combine it with chocolate macaron shell, verdict: very inspring, exciting and full body flavoured.

I guess as for now I don’t need one as I can’t afford to have one but it will be fun to have one in time, but will you be my fans?Maybe for now I can only afford to have some bamboo charcoal. Well, don’t under estimate the bamboo charcoal as it can do so much amazing things and miracles. It has a strong absorption of toxin which helps to remove waste in our system. I was told it able to strenghten our bowel movement and improves the digestion of food. Bamboo charcoal infact promotes health and improves liveliness. I am sure you have seen bammboo charcoal being used in breads but I decided to make some rouleau with it and here is the recipe that I would love to share with you, charcoal bamboo rouleau.
