Now you may ask me where to get that smoked pigeon. Well it was a short story. I got it at the Sunday morning farmer market at Shah Alam Stadium at 3pigeon for RM12. It wasn’t expensive. I got excited already at the moment. I want to have it in my soup together with the lemon I had preserved. READ HERE. Thank God I managed to get it done last night and shared the soup with my mum. It was brilliant. The soup was filled with intensify flavour indeed. Lovely and I never regreted it for trying it out.

When the idea of having a soup with infused preserved salted lemon had caught me in a wild goose chase. Even the soup recipe was in front of me. My eyes was at gaze and my imagination went berserk. I cannot imagine the taste would be so tempted wanting to have a try. I was in dilemma and I was not at ease. The only way is not make some my own, those had become a very envious preserved salted lemon.

I just love how this chicken is prepared when I read the recipe, the amount of fresh herb used can be so divine in flavour and taste. This chicken is definitely delicious as all the fresh ingredients had been hand pounded and rather blended. The final product was truly over whelming, the chicken was succulent inside and the coated ingredient just seems to have sip in well. I was delicious and I can have half the chicken to myself.

I love having chickpeas and I cook them with my pressure cooker HERE. This time I added this gorgeous chickpeas into my chicken curry. The dish tasted brilliantly. This curry chicken I used Chef Norman Musa’s meat curry powder but you can opt for other type also can. The cooking did not take long on pressure cooker, it was fast less than 25mins and the dish is ready to eat. I just love those soft tender chickpea as it goes so well with the curry sauce. I love fondling with those chickpeas that I bought from the Indian grocers but at NSK I found the big ones and did not hesitate to bring them home. Cooked chickpeas is a good snack by itself and the taste can be intensify by adding salt and spices. People like myself with diabetic, chickpea is definitely a great good to sort for, as it makes food taste much better. So I have some make and stashed in the refrigerator, when I am hungry I get to indulge them in my comfort.

I was attended a weekday dinner which started at about 7pm when all of us finally got to this restaurant and it was getting busy. We were here to try out their talk about mud crab and we had a terrific time indulging them. We were a bunch of great seven eaters and this was our journey on that hilarious night. I was totally hypnotised over what I was having. I was totally out of control on my diet.

It had been ages of me wanting to try out this make this spring onion pancakes. It was not too difficult to follow and the ingredients were not to many, flour, spring onion, salt and oil. My first try was not that successful as the inside of the dough was not cook well. The outcome would have been better if I had roll flatten the pancake before aorfrying.

At recent cake Chef Sunny Yaw had crafted a birthday cake for 80th celebration that comes with peaches and flamingos. The centre stage was this huge orangy pink peach sitting in the middle of an huge round fondant cake. The round fondant cake had embossed white flamingos and golden stems and leafs running down. It was an awesome moment that I walked into Lai Cheng Yuen Chinese Restaurant at Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur to try out Chef Terence Fong’s new dishes that night. I was lead to the room and the table setting was gorgeous. As soon as the guests were seated, we were served with a warm pot of delicious Double Boiled Spare Rib with Apple and Almond Soup. The taste was lovely, it was intensify and it was served warm and the way I like it. As soon as Chef Terence Fong came into the room I insisted of him to share his recipe with my reader and without hesitation he agreed and I had a pleasant surprise. The following is his recipe to share. I am sure his recipe can be prepared using the pressure cooker too.

I found a jar of shrimp paste that was still at plenty and was hardly touch in my fridge. That gave me and idea of having an airfry shrimp paste chicken for dinner. This time I decided to coat the marinate chicken pieces with rice and corn flour. I had it airfried at 180C for 10mins. The chicken taste awesome when it is warm but less crisp when cold. Next round I will airfry them without coating and see if there is any difference.
