Gala Launch of Taste MIGF 2015


After 15 years of sheer passion, commitment and excellence, this year’s Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) promises to be as epic as previous years. Themed “Galactic Chefs! 2015: A Food Odyssey,” the Festival will be held throughout the month of October.



Part of Tourism Malaysia’s MyFest2015, MIGF 2015 will showcase 26 of the best restaurants in the country—and the culinary masterpieces their chefs will whip up. Food lovers will get to enjoy the creative and innovative Festival menus that will be presented throughout October.



Every year, Festival Restaurants generate annual receipts worth millions but the trickle-down effect of the Festival extends far beyond this. MIGF impacts the entire F&B industry as well as raising the bar each year by fostering friendly competition between the market leaders. Not to mention, the country’s top chefs and F&B professionals become role models for young people joining the industry, who see a future in Malaysia rather than taking their skills elsewhere.



Taste MIGF, which was open to the public, was the Festival preview event and was take place on Saturday, 5th and Sunday, 6th September at Berjaya Times Square Hotel Kuala Lumpur.



At Taste MIGF, food lovers get to enjoy the “Super Gourmet Safari” as the Festival restaurants gather in the specially created “Theatre of Cuisines” and was sering up sampling portions from their Festival Menus.



Food lovers also got to shop at the Epicure Gourmet Village, attended the cooking classes conducted by Master Chefs and able to pick up some lifestyle ideas at the LuxuryPlus Showcase.





The participating restaurants this year include those from 5-star hotels. The restaurants are Samplings On The Fourteenth, Iketeru, Graze, Dynasty, LTITUDE Restaurant Bar & Lounge, Imperial Rama, The Olive, Lafite, Shang Palace, Qba Latin Bar & Grill, Aliyaa Island Restaurant & Bar, Busaba Thai, Dewakan, Enak KL, Maison Francaise, Marini’s on 57, Minori, Neroteca, Nerovivo, Ruyi & Lyn, Soleil, Tanzini, The Oak Room, Vineria.IT, Yezi and Zender’s Restaurant & Bar.




The Festival’s Principle Partner is Tourism Malaysia and main sponsor, The Vision Four Media Group. Festival Sponsors are William Grant & Sons and Fifty Six Degrees. Festival Media Partners are Astro, Astro Radio, Asian Food Channel, Seni Jaya, Vision Four and Vision KL.
