I just love this guava soup made famous in Taiwan. It is simple to make. With only 3 main ingredients guava, black chicken and black dates, using my Philips pressure cooker with 40-50mins a fabulous soup is made. It tasted stunningly, it came with a hint of refreshing sourness sweet packed with intense flavour.

The health benefits of guava that I found on google include the treatment of diarrhea, dysentery, constipation, cough, cold, skin care, high blood pressure, weight loss and scurvy
half black chicken (can be replaced with chicken/pork ribs)
600gm Guava (skin peeled)
4-5 dried black dates (can be replaced with red dates)
salt to taste
Wash and clean the black chicken, guava and black dates
Place the ingredients in the Philips pressure cooker
Pour in the water
Close the lid
Set it to Chicken and KPT 45-50
Once pressure cooked, add salt to taste.
