Over my recent trail on the Chinese New Year dinner feast, I had such a great pleasure to enjoy the perfection of gourmet paraded stunningly at Si Chuan Dou Hua Chinese Restaurant Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur. To grace the perfection on the day, The Barbeque Lamb Yee Sang was presented to our table and stood perfectly, I was impressed.
Every cut slices of the barbeque lamb was perfectly done and gorgeously arranged on a plated waiting to be added onto the large Yee Sang serving platter. The tangy sauce, oil, crushed nuts and toasted sesame seated nest to it were readily for the Yee Sang ritual. Once the preparation got ready, the tossing came ready with joy and aloud. The table was in a true mess but this significant the abundance and rich. It’s always a fun thing to do. As for the Yee Sang gourmet, it was outstanding with the present of firm sliced barbeque lamb. The whole combination worked so well and I had a lot that night. The Barbeque Lamb Yee Sang is priced at RM98nett for half a portion and RM148nett for a full portion.
The soup broth was done intensely and came with bursting flavour. it was truly rich and got me mesmerizing. The shark fin was braised till tender and had a great soft biting texture. The scallop was refreshing and came with such a thickness and so pretty to bite into. I was in joy while sipping very bits of it. The fish maw was lovely done too. It was such a great blessing bowl of goodness.
Looked pretty it came stood right infront of me, this Steamed Village Chicken with Dried Seafood and Chinese Herbs is definitely a great teaser on that night. It was very cleaned done with minimal sauce and yet the dish was able to hold its taste and flavour. I liked the chicken that was lightly salted and jive so well to my liking. I got to say this chicken dish is so dynamic special to me, something unique and simple. Just outstanding.
My smiled perspired upon knowing the next dish was my favourite the Stir-fried Large Prawns with Egg White, yet another simple dish that taste fantastic. With great selection and precise measurement of flavouring and precise cooking technique, this prawn and egg white dish can be just mind blowing. Great aroma and good texture from the prawns, soft tender egg white is the experience I had at Si Chuan Dou Hua, one word PRETTY.
I love food that have a good art of cooking and great application of techniques, here the art of slicing was put into display on the next dish. The Braised Seasonal Vegetables, Bean Curd and Dried Oyster with Pumpkin Puree may sounds like a simple dish but I just love the way the beancurd was given such a brilliant attention. It was sliced so thinly and light. I love slurping the beancurd without thinking about, brilliant it was and the braised seasonal vegetables complimented the beancurd and pumpkin with pleasure.
The Fried Rice came fluffy and so divine to indulge, the hint smell of mushroom and smoked duck truly lifted my expectation, yummy indeed.
The dessert came flourish with terrific excitement, the soft tender steamed nian gao coated with crispy oats worked well with my liking and finished the night with a bowl of chilled grapefruit was a truly blessing. I enjoyed the whole gourmet and yet another perfect dinner.
