Usher In The Grandeur of Spring This Chinese New Year at Fusion Sunway Resort Hotel And Spa


Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa celebrates The Grandeur of Chinese Spring Festival from 9 February to 5 March 2015 with traditional feasts rich in symbolism to usher in the Year of the Goat. The Hotel’s Executive Chef Peter Lee Tong Siong and his team will feature an expansive buffet spread of Chinese celebratory delicacies at Fuzion, the Hotel’s all-day dining restaurant and will also showcase a range of prosperous banquet set menus for guests who prefer a round-table reunion in the comforts of a private banquet venue.

For a taste of the celebratory Chinese delicacies, the Hotel’s culinary brigade is set to cook up a rotation of different menus at Fuzion, featuring over 50 types of dishes from double-boiled soups to authentic Chinese rice, noodles, seafood, meat and vegetable cuisines, laid out in the oriental show kitchen amidst an international buffet of ‘live’ action kitchens each day.

Diners are invited to commence their feast with the Abalone or Salmon Yee Sang (raw fish salad) which are freshly prepared daily and served at the Yee Sang counter as part of the buffet spread. Continue feasting at Fuzion’s Oriental ‘Live’ show kitchen which will feature traditional favourites including the Double-Boiled Snow Melon Consommé with Almond, White Fungus and Sun-Dried Figs, Deep-Fried “Nian-Gao” filled with Yam and Sweet Potato, Golden Money Bags with Abalone Sauce and Seasonal Vegetables, Braised Lion Head Meatball with Fish Maw and “Fatt Choy” and Poached Seafood Noodle with Lobster Stock.


The buffet is priced at RM95++ per adult for lunch, RM110++ per adult for dinner on Sundays to Thursdays and RM120++ per adult for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. Yee Sang sets are also available in full or half portion to dine-in or take-away in three (3) varieties – Geoduck Clam, Abalone and Salmon; and prices range from RM70++ to RM148++ per set.

Love the Flower Salmon Yee Sang at Fuzion was brilliant to have, the sauce was accompanied well and I has a huge sizeable portion of it.

Double Boiled Snow Melon Consomme with Almond White Fungus & Sun Dried Fig

The comsomme had a great smoothness in taste and truly hooked me on wanting a bit more. It had a nice sweetness in taste and stood well just by itself, I was intrigued with my bowl.

Roasted Rack of Lamb with Hoi Sin Sauce

I love the lamb and it was brilliantly roasted with nice layered of fats that kept the lamb in great form of softness in texture. Having a bite into its tenderness too my breath away. It was a sure winner in terms of taste and smell. I truly want to married the whole rack and take it home.

Steamed Red Snapper

I was served with a nice piece of the steamed red snapper and the texture worked brilliant with my tasting palate. I wouldn’t mind having another piece but it was sold out within seconds.

Golden Money Bags

The Golden Money Bags looked truly alike gentleman, smart it was and filled with awesome treasure of mixture of varies of mushrooms. I quiet like it.

Braised Lion Head Meatball

My tasting plate of Braised Lion Head Meatball was kept to simple and had a fabulous texture and I was longing for a few more of this meat balls.

Poached Seafood Noodle with Lobster Stock

I just love my deep plate of tenderly soft noodle that came with a well season lobster broth and nice piece of crab claw. Brilliant it was.

Tong Yuen Soup with Ginger Roots

As for something sweet and simple, came this Tong Yuen Soup that laced with nice brilliant ginger roots.
