Allegrini Wine Dinner at Villa Danieli Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur

I am back for another terrific night at Villa Danieli Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur for a wine dinner, this round it was a stunning selection of wine from Allegrini Winery, Valipolicella located at one of the most prestigious wine-making region in Italy. The night went well with speechless gourmet of food and wine, the pairing was a success.

Polenta Crostini with Caramelise Wild Mushroom

To start the night we had a teaser, a Polenta Crostini with Caramelise Wild Mushroom to build up our appetite. I found it to be entertaining.

Soave DOG

As for a light refreshment we were pampered with a lighter note, the pouring of Soave DOG which worked beautifully through my tasting palate. It was smooth and nice flowery aroma and nice present of refreshing citrus. I had a couple before the dinner, definitely a fabulous companion.

Appetizer – Due Venetian Di Mare

My fried oyster with orange drizzle was very inviting and seductive, it truly built up my appetite immediately. The partner a ceviche cured prawn played its role well and infused so well with my glass of Vermentina COD. Solosale 2003. The fried oyster with orange drizzle, onion, raisin, pine nut and salsa verde, ceviche cured prawn, cherry tomato on vine was definitely a stunner.

Vermentino DOC, Salasole 2013

The Vermentino DOC, Salasole 2013 was crisp and zesty. The present of nice aroma of peaches and apricot just soaked well with my fried osyter and prawn. I had a great stunning taste, refreshing.

Mushroom Soup

Wild Mushroom with crispy enoki mushroom, cream ricotta cheese and truffle oil was really nice and worked well into my tasting palate. I was amazed with the nice pungent flavour and aroma that caught my attention, finding a good Allegrini wine pairing wasn’t too difficult.

Palazza Della Torre IGT, Allegrini 2010

Here I got to admit Palazza Della Torre IGT, Allegrini 2010 was very impressive. This wine is made in the Ripasso method with whole partially dried grapes. It was irresistible, the velvety taste caught my attention and having its present on my soup truly I was caught onto a bursting surprise. Stunning.

Green Pea Risotto

Green pea risotto, crispy beef stripe and parmesan cracker was truly a stunner in texture and taste, it was done al dente. The biting texture was just perfect and not overly soft and kept tender.

La Grola IGT, Allegrini 2010

La Grola IGT, Allegrini 2010 a full bodied wine and definitely an intense liquid with great elegance. The present of wild berries worked brilliantly and yet having the stain of tobacco and coffee truly excites me that night. Brilliant.

Stew Grouper Fish

As for the main, two dishes were offered stew grouper fish and beef ribs. Mine was the beef ribs. The stew grouper fish came with delicious cream sauce accompanied with grilled asparagus, fennel, ebdive and natural glazing. I love the texture of the fish especially the fish skin as it had a nice biting texture. Such a big fish, having it stew or braised is the best way to cook it.

Grilled Beef Rib

My grilled glazed beef rib work perfectly with my tasting palate. It was done tenderly and moist. The sage butter spinach gnoochi was lovely too. Definitely it was my day.

Amarone Valpoliciella Classica DOC, Allegrini 2008

Ny glass of Amarone Vaipoliciella Classica DOC, Allegrini 2008 was excellent as it was fumed with the aroma of raisins with depth to the layers of ferrous mineral, pure black cherry, anise, aromatic tea leaf and herb notes. Honestly I had a few helpings myself and it was definitely my soulmate for the night.

Mascarpone Cheese Mousse Mille Foglie

The sweet mascarpone cheese mousse came layered with chocolate salami and topped with berries compotes and sable crumble. It was a very subtle delicious dessert to call it of the night. I was totally impressed with Allegrini wines and the pairing dishes was superb.

Giovanni Recioto Classico 2010

My sweet was paired with Giovanni Recioto Classico 2010 and it was a perfect match. It came running with awesome sweetness, fruity and the present of floral can easily be detected. I was amazed and I loved it.
