Having the pleasure of having a good cup of tea is truly classic yet having a teatail is just stunning. My weekend experience on this was truly unpretentious what’s more it had my best tasted Earl Grey tea, yes from Ronnefeldt. That afternoon tea ritual gathering was at The Smoke House Majestic Hotel and there were free flow of tea-infused cocktails and canapes.
The collaboration between Majestic Hotel and Ronnefeldt on that afternoon had me intrigued as I got to view and smell a few gorgeous and refined tea on display such as the Morgentau, Raspberry Royal, Jasmine Gold, Pai Mu Tan Silver Typ, Moroccan Tea and Irish Whisky Cream. That afternoon Majestic Hotel’s Resident Bartender Johnnie the Barman had poured us a couple outstanding Ronnefeldt inspired cocktails, the Conservatory Punch, The Straits of Tea, and Silver Tea Cobbler, while the mocktails too on the line up the Jasmine Passion and Halcyon Days.
Guest like myself was kept engaged in a talk on Ronnefeldt Tea and the teatails presented by Andreas Aufmkolk, Regional Director of Ronnefedlt Asia Pacific. Jeffrey Mong, General Manager of the Majestic Hotel KualaLumpur, said “We have been serving Ronnefedlt tea since the opening of the hotel and today was a creative showcase of the versatility of their tea. The Smoke House was also the perfect for an event of this nature as our talented Johnnie the Barman prepares some if the best cocktails in town.”
The Conservatory Punch was such a teaser to start with, such a sweet seductress. The ingredients was exciting too, Courvoiser VS, Barcardi Carta Blanca, Citrus, Morgentau Tea, Curacao and spices. The composition of the mix was given a half hour stand before strained and served with ice. The Ronnefedtl’s Morgentau Morning Dew Loose Green Tea was the perfect pick for this teatail and I am loving it more.
The Straits of Tea came in a tall glass filled with iced and a mixture of Bols Genever, Lemon Juice, Irish Whiskey Cream Tea tasted light and subtle. Definitely a truly heart warming autumn concoction based on Genever also known as Holland Gin and Irish Whiskey Cream Tea. Just love the present of Irish Whisky Cream, worked beautifully as every drop was ecstatic.
One of my favourite that managed to work me round and another round was their Silver Tea Cobbler and being a fan of Hendrick’s Gin, this did not fail to boast up my liking. The mixture was simple and yet the Ronnefeldt tea worked brilliantly, armed with Hendrick’s Gin, Ginger Wine, Cucumber and Pai Mu Tanit, the glasses marched towards wanted was a great teaser. Refreshingly fragrant and very cuddle-able.
That afternoon a marching of delicious canapés make their way on the runway featuring Executive Chef Mohamad Zaidi and his culinary team’s excellent refinement, King Crab Meat Croquette, Peking Duck Pancake with Sweet Bean Vinaigrette, Ronnefeldt Orange Tea Gravlax and Ronnefeldt Crème Brulee. Excellent and paired well.
As for Tea Teperance section, we had Jasmine Passion which was amusingly delicious. It tasted simple and came with Moroccan Mint, Pear Puree, Ginger infusion and mint.
The Jasmine Passion was the finale pouring at this drinking session with came with a touch of soaring glamour and fragrant. The Jasmine mist was running out from the tea pot and onto the cocktail glass. It was definitely a show stopper. A composition of Jasmine Gold, Passion Fruit and Elderflower played so well and kept us truly entertained.
