This year Dorsett Grand Subang brings to us a “Reflection of Timeless Heritage” with an array of mooncake flavours and also a fabulous range of new dim sum prepared by Chef Loh and his culinary team. For such a fabulous occasion I was they to try out the spread of well crafted dim sum and also the mooncakes and I loved them. It was a ture gastronomic experience.
Here at Dorsett Grand Subang a range of 11 types of mooncakes are being introduced such as their Pandan Lotus Paste with Salted Egg Yolk, Snow Skin Red Bean Paste, White Lotus Paste with Double Egg Yolk, Low Sugar White Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk, Los Sugar Pure White Lotus Paste, Pure Lotus Pandan, Green Tea Lotus Paste with Single Egg Yolk, Pure Sweet Potato with Single Egg Yolk, Pure Red Bean Paste, Snow Skin Pandan Lotus Paste with Salted Egg Yolk and Snow Skin Pure Sweet Potato with Single Egg Yolk.
On that afternoon Chef Chong demonstrated to us on his style of making snow skin mooncakes and it was thrill to watch such gorgeous sweet mooncakes being made.
Dorsett Grand Subang mooncakes ranges from RM17.00++ per mooncake and can also be purchased at their stall located at Plaza Damas from 12.00pm to 8.00pm and CHeras Sentral from 2.00pm to 9.00pm on weekdays and 12.00pm to 9.00pm on weekends.
The Emperor Chinese Restaurant serves Dim Sum from Tuesday to Saturday from 12.00pm to 2.30pm and Family Dim Sum brunch is available during Sundays and also Public Holidays from 10.00am-12.30pm which is priced at RM65.oo++ pre adult while children below 12years old and Senior Citizen above 60 can enjoy 50% off.
The range of Dim Sum here is excellent and truly suited my liking. Here are some of the dim sum served here at Emperor: Steamed Jade Dumpling, Steamed Bamboo Pith Roll. Steamed Vegetarian Shark’s Fin Dumpling, Steamed Prawn Dumpling with Coriander, Steamed Siew Mai Emperor Style, Steamed Bean Curd Roll, Steamed Glutinous Rice with Black Mushroom, Siew Long Dumpling, Fish Paste Dumpling with Garlic, Squid Ink Bun with Salted Egg Custard, Crispy Cheong Fun with Prawns, Steamed Chicken Bun with Fresh Salmon Fish, Deep Fried Vietnamese Prawn Roll, Deep Fried Yam Dumpling, Baked Mini Egg Tart Custard and many more to name.
