Stepping into the boundary of Ti Chen I know I am up for a fabulous spread of Dim Sum by Chef Yau Kim Yew. His dim sum creation is to die for and a must try even it is a halal cuisine served at Ti Chen. For that noon, I was there to try out their gorgeous mooncakes.
This year Ti Chen presents a sizeable range of mooncakes such as Low Sugar White Lotus, Low Sugar White Lotus Single Yolk, Jade Custard, German Black Forest, Azuki Milk, Golden Mixed Nuts, Durian Custard Musang King, Almond with Black Sesame Paste and Green Tea with Citrus Red Bean. I got to say all the mooncakes at Ti Chen looks fantastic. TI Chen mooncakes ranges from RM18 to RM22each.
For myself I particularly like their Azuki Milk Mooncake which has a unique distinct taste and aroma and their Golden Mixed Nuts Mooncake too was moist and tenderly soft that caught my attention that noon. During my visit Chef Yau Kim Yew had trouble himself by showing his snow skin mooncake making, it was fun to watch.
As for lunch that noon we were showcased with fabulous Dim Sum. Chef Yau Kim Yew’s steamed chicken siew mai was such a hit, it was damn juicy to bite into. The steamed prawn dumpling filled my mouth with awesome freshness and left with such a crunchy bites. Oh I got to confess his pan fried chicken bun was fantastic but must have them warm and right away when serve. We also had steamed glutinous rice with chicken, deep fried bean curd roll with cheese, deep fried prawn roll with jack fruit and wok fried radish cake with seafood. All the dim sum present that noon was just brilliant !
