This Ramadan, Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa presents a gastronomic adventure with an enticing potpourri of local, international and traditional favourites for the berbuka puasa buffets at Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa’s Fuzion and Pyramid Tower Hotel’s The Atrium, starting from 28 June to 27 July 2014.

Maintaining the true essence of home-style cooking served and presented in a contemporary Malaysia food bazaar atmosphere, a brigade of 30 speciality chefs at Fuzion and The Atrium respectively are geared up to entice diners with a melting pot of over 400 selection of authentic local and international favourites, more than 20 types of locally and internationally sourced seafood prepared in various cooking styles, 26 types of Gulai Kawah in large cauldron, 22 ‘live’ action stations, chocolate fountains with 50 condiments, ice kacang, local fruits and assortments of other speciality salads, soups, appetisers, main courses and desserts which will be served nightly for an uplifting culinary affair. Leading the brigade of chefs is Syrian-born Chef Khder Mohsen Al Issa of Fuzion and Malaysian Chef Parthiban Nalliah of The Atrium.

Both restaurants will serve the Ramadan buffet every evening from Saturday, 28 June to Sunday, 27 July 2013 starting at 6.00pm to 10.30pm nightly. Fuzion’s “Eid and International Gastronomy” is priced at RM138.00++ per adult and The Atrium’s “Malaysian Food Bazaar” is priced at RM108++ per adult. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 years can enjoy the buffet at half price.

Priced at RM138++ per adult, the Ramadan buffet at Fuzion offers diners with ‘Eid and International Gastronomy’ comprising of over 400 local, Ramadan and international favourites in the form of a la minute servings from its ‘live’ action stations which makes up the buffet lines.

Led by Chef Khder Mohsen Al Issa, the restaurant’s key highlight is the wide selection of Gulai Kawah in six (6) super-large cauldrons placed at the Fuzion’s outdoor terrace with chefs cooking up 26 rotational varieties of Gulai Kawah recipes, comprising of Gulai Ayam Kampung with Pucuk Ubi, Gulai Daging, Gulai Udang Galah Masak Lemak, Gulai Itik Pekan Jawa, Gulai Kambing and much more.

Seafood enthusiasts will be in food haven with over 20 types of fresh seafood to be devoured including Boiled Clams, Poached Prawns, Half Shell Mussels, Slipper Lobster, Flower Crabs, Salmon Sashimi, Tuna Sashimi, a variety of Shellfish and Fish dishes. Fuzion’s seafood corner will be served fresh in a variety of styles – grilled, pan-seared, baked, steamed, fried, poached, raw, curried, and barbecued – to satisfy all taste buds.
For a wider variety of cuisines, Fuzion will also offer a range of Western dishes like the Roasted Duck with Orange and Rosemary Dressing, Lamb Chop with Rosemary Jus, as well as a selection of pasta and local favourites comprising of Nasi Briyani Gam, Roti Canai, Middle Eastern cuisine and more.

Completing the buffet experience in Fuzion is an assortment of desserts including traditional Malay Kuih-Muih like Tapai Ubi, Tapai Pulut, Kuih Suji, Apam Kelapa Kuih Bahulu, Kuih Tiram and Dodol are amongst some of the desserts along with Fuzion’s Bread & Butter Pudding, Tiramisu, a host of sliced and whole seasonal local fruits, ice cream, cakes and cookies. The key highlight of the dessert spread is the Chocolate Fountains with 50 condiments which include fresh strawberries, marshmallows, dried fruits, gummi bears, cake cubes and more.

The Atrium at Pyramid Tower Hotel will feature a ‘Malaysian Food Bazaar’ themed Ramadan spread, serving over 350 dishes highlighting local and traditional favourites. Priced at RM108++ per adult, the Ramadan buffet at The Atrium is available from 28 June to 27 July 2014 from 6.00pm to 10.30pm. Diners will have their taste buds titillated with the hodgepodge of home-grown delicacies, presented in buffet style as well as within the nine (9) live action stalls.

Recreating the vibrant Malaysian Food Bazaar atmosphere, The Atrium’s key highlight will be the nine (9) live action stalls, serving a variety of Malaysian favourites. Taking centre stage at The Atrium’s food bazaar is the restaurant’s Sup Gear Box Tulang Johor, a must-try dish during this Ramadan. The popular perennial favourite, cooked over a slow fire for 12 hours, prepared in a large cauldron, will be placed at the front of the restaurant daily, providing diners with a visual and aromatic treat.

Other local favourites include Bubur Lambuk Kampung Baru, Claypot Asam Pedas Melaka, Warisan Mee Kari Seremban, Satay Warisan Bakar Kajang, Koey Teow Seberang Perai, Penang, Asam Laksa Kodiang, Kedah, ABC and Cendol as well as a special Warisan Ramadan consisting of Ramadan favourites like Lemang, Ketupat, Pulut, and Serunding.

The Atrium’s buffet spread will also feature Rojak Pasembor, Tom Yam Udang Soup, a host of other Malay dishes, Pengat and a delectable range of Malaysian and Western desserts including Apam Kelapa, Kuih Seri Muka, Kuih Keria, Dodol, Crème Brulee, Profiteroles and other mouth-watering sweet endings.
