Pressure Cook Ginger Wine Chicken

Having to grip on a bottle of homemade ginger wine in my pantry got me wanting into pressure cook it with chicken and sliced ginger. I did it the conventional way, wok-ing. But this time want try it with a different home cooking technique, the pressure cooker. I love the simplicity in cooking, clan and easy to follow thanks to my face book friend at Cooking with Philips Pressure Cooker. I had a fabulous guide to sautee my dishes using the pressure cooker too. Yes every cooking step done using the pressure cooker. Love it and here is the simple recipe I followed.

Sautéed Sliced Ginger with Sesame Oilinsode using the Pressure Cooker

Pressure Cooked Ginger Wine Chicken

Ingredients
4 pcs Chicken Ribs
4inch Ginger (Sliced)
8 tablespoon Sesame Oil
250ml Ginger Wine
1 teaspoon Sugar
a pinch of salt to taste

Sautéed The Chicken

Method
Give you PPC a 15mins start using bake function
Pour in the sesame oil and sautéed the sliced ginger
Once fragrant, add in the chicken for browning (it slower using PPC compare to gas burner)
Close the top knob to baking (turn to the left)
Give it a 2-3minutes to cook under baking mode then push the knob to the far right to release steam
Open the cover and pour in the ginger wine
Close the lid and push the knob to the centre to seal it
Then pressure cook it for 15mins. (15 KPT)
Push the knob to the far right to release steam
Let is rest half a min then open the lid.
Serve the dish on a nice plating
