Yesterday morning I was invited to witness the launch of MILO Malaysia Breakfast Day 2014 at Chawan Citta Mall not far from me. It was quiet an informative event on MILO which was delivered by Ms Ms Cher Siew Wei. You we were generously indulged with lots of MILO drinks and I just loved them. My neighbour writer from the majoy newspaper kept reminding me this childhood drink at school. This MILO drink as memory did well embedded in our mind. Lovely.
As a continuation of the successful Malaysia Breakfast Day in 2013, MILO is proud to reignite the largest breakfast gathering to rally the nation in adopting the healthy habit of having a balanced breakfast and active lifestyle.
In line with MILO’s aim in ensuring our children develop good healthy habits for both nutrition and physical involment, Malaysia Breakfast Day was introduced to further amplify the brand’s involment in our children’s wholesome well-being.
The nation’s leading chocolate-malt manufacturer believes that raising awareness is important but driving change is pivotal in shifting the perceptions of the nation. It is a call for action aimed at Malaysians to make right nutritional decisions for their children and also for their family.
This year, MILO will be bringing a new spin to breakfast by introducing the benefits of Positive Energy from having a well=balanced and nutritious breakfast, Positive Energy is derived from the perfect ratio of nutrients consisting of protein, carbohydrates and fats to provide our body with the much needed fuel to take on both physical and mental challenges each day.
According to Ho Hau Chieh, Executive Director of Dairy Business Unit, Nestle Products, “Fuelled by MILO determination and motivation to advocate Malaysians on the importance of a wll-balanced breakfast, the day is part of its nation-wide nutrition campaign – ‘Positive Energy For Champions’ that aims to keep the momentum going as the healthy breakfast habit should be adopted actively and not just in the heat of the moment.” he says.
“As an advocator of healthy living, we strive to reevaluate how the nation can adopt an improved views on healthy living and start practising with little steps,” Ho added.
This year, the annual event will be held at Putrajaya on 20th April 2014 starting from 7.00am. The event calls upon call Malaysians to come together as a family to enjoy the most important meals of the day and participate activities together.
Apart from the 8-km and 3-km runs, there will be breakfast meals available to all runners and attendees while conducting sport activities that will keep the whole family energized.
Ho further elaborates the Malaysia Breakfast Day is not just confined to the grounds of Putrajaya on 20th April but the cause should be supported from wherever we are.
MILO reached out to its tech-savvy audience through the company’s informative breakfast webpage, introducing users and on-line visitors to the campaign objectives and enlightening them with the benefits of MILO’s Positive Energy.
On-ground touch-points to reach out to all Malaysians around the region are included through a series of concourses events themed “MILO Institute of Champions” in Klang Valley, Johor, Penang and East Malaysia to further inculcate the notion of “Positive Energy” through the right balance of nutrition and active lifestyle starting from breakfast. MILO has also deployed its Positive Energy Squad nationwide to encourage Malaysians to begin the day with Positive Energy throughout this March and April.
