Here I am having a jolly good dinner crafted by the brain behind the Chinese kitchen of Xin Cuisine KL, awesome boyish Chef Wong Pak Seng. The food mob Chinese style (rather the Italian mafia) was held in a private room of the restaurant anthatd ranks of people was there to conduct the ritual of taste.
The first came that came to charm the putters like me was his charming biting stir fried scallop with pungently tasty XO sauce. The texture of ths scallop was perfectly calculated to a perfection biting texture and yet had retained a great wok “fei” aroma. The sauce was brilliant infused, defintely no complaint of waht so ever.
I smelt something nice for change, something with a sea freshness. Yes I was right, it was the golden brown thick cut cod fish accompanied with a deliciou supreme soy in Sin Chew style. I got to confess that I truly enjoy the crispness biting texture on the other outer while yet I was able to lure myself on the smoothness of the moist texture of the cod inside. Such a crime of lust experience at that moment.I kept my silent as I was enjoying it with such a sin.
The next dish that stood so well amount us was Chef’s steamed chicken with black fungus and cordyceps flower. The dish was filled with bursting flavour and aroma. It was defitely a simple dish that can be easily mirrored at home kitchen and yet it was perfectly executed here. A bowl of rice is must with this tasty dish. I wanted more.
I was excited, who wouldn’t. I was jumping whem I saw the size of the fresh river prawns tuckly sitting on the table waiting to be indulged. The coloured itself speaks by itself, bright sexy orange and the aroma of the seared garlic just flow through me. I was mesmerised instantly. The mest trxture was firm and moist whilte the garlic coating commanded the whole exercised that night.
As for the sweet, we had a delicious stewed yacon with poaced snow pear. The soup was done lightly and not overly sweet, just nice. I loved the tenderly soft snow pear while the yacon had a nice biting texture that suited the night. Xin at Concorde KL is defintely the place to dine . . . . . . . my favourite place to be back for more pampering, Sidney Kan
