Let’s celebrate this coming New Year’s Eve with great style of the perfect sendoff of 2013 with Shook! a 6 course New Year’s Eve set menu is created for this occasion by Chef Danial. The night will be made even more special as a magician instills the magic of the prospect of a new year and the resident band countdown plus celebrates the moment with a confetti and balloon drop to signal the arrival of 2014. Shook! will definitely be the special place to usher this New Year.

SALMON AND TUNA TARTAR – Garnished with Diced Japanese Cucumber with a Lemongrass and Mint Flavored Gazpacho

To usher the New Year, Chef Danial’s starts off the night with his chic looking Salmon & Tuna Tartar that had my eyes blugged with delight. I love the touch that was given to my entrement, just gorgeous. The salmon was refreshing in taste whie the tuma paired it well. The lemongrass and mint gazpach packed the dish perfectly well. I truly like the style to begin the night.

TRADITIONAL BEEF CONSOMMÉ – Garnished with Braised Oxtail Panna Cotta Layered with Edamame Bean Puree

My beef consomme came with such intense flavour, bold yet lovely and truly robust. Another exciting about the dish was the accompanied braised oxtail panna cotta layered with edamame bean puree. That disk was creamy smooth and lovely to tongue with playfully. I am sure it was sure sexy enough for a New Year delight.

LIME SORBET wth Grape, Ginger and Preserved Plum

As to clear clean my palate for the main, a yummy-licious martini glass of lime sorbet was paraded right infront of me. It tasted enchantingly while the grape, ginger and preserved plum played weill working their way to clear my palate. Lingering nice.

PAN SEARED AUSTRALIAN BARRAMUNDI with Squid Ink Tagliolini in a Rich Lobster Bouillon

As for the mains, I got to taste both the fish and the lamb. Chef Danial had his sea fresh Australian barramundi pan seared to perfection and topped over a squid ink tagliolini. The enhance the flavour, a rich lobster bouillon was put into a perfect play. Just adoreable.

GRILLED LOIN OF LAMB – Garnished with Asparagus Tips, Morel Dumplings, Saffron Potato, Gorgonzola Tortellini with a Truffle Reduction

The lamb was a show off that night pleasing to be eaten well but yet I begged for more. Yes I knew it was such a pleasing torture and I nearly melted to my knees . . . hahahahahaha! Got to say, it was plated beautifully. The grilled loin lamb worked magically for my craving and the accompanied garnish worked perfetly too. Truly impressed.

For that night the selection of artisan pastries was not served as it will only be spread on the actual day and now it got me going, craving to be precise. The night was smashing as the line up of the new year eve dishes was just perfect. Definitely a night to celebrate!
