Having to experience to celebrate the magic of Christmas on the 24th of December with Shook!’s Christmas Eve Dinner can be such an exciting evening of play pleasure of festive gourmet. This festive season will be brought alive by Shook!’s quintessentially delicious Christmas set menu, which is filled with traditional favourites such as the succulent freshly roast Turkey with Chestnut stuffing and a gourmet selection of festive desserts. With the combined entertainment from a magician, a mime man and multiples renditions of festive songs from the band, Shook! makes this one Christmas that you’re sure to remember.

The preview eve dinner started with a genuis tasty oyster with champagne sabayon topped over with generous slice of smoked salmon accompanied with crab meat and wasabi aioli. I liked the plating, it was chramingly presented. The duo of gratinated oyster with champagne sabayon – on cured smoked salmon garnished with crab meat and wasabi aioli was a great entrement to start with especially when myself an oyster lover.

NEW ENGLAND CLAM CHOWDER – Garnished with a Truffle flavored Ginger Muffin

Moving on to my next exciting intensifying concerntrated liquid was my soup, New England Clam Chowder. The flavour was bold and I liked it and had a great smooth pungent smell. Every spooning kept me wanting more. Perfecto!

Then came running to me was their passion fruit sorbet that firmly seated in a cocktail glass wanting to be please. The tasted sourish sweet caught my attention and truly cleansed my pallete while waiting for the main to march through. For that it got me truly exciting.

TRADITIONAL ROAST TURKEY ROULADE WITH A CHESTNUT STUFFING – Accompanied by Cinnamon Apple Chutney, Roasted Pumpkin, Glazed Baby Carrots, Brussel Sprouts and Turkey Jus

As for the main we get to pick one either the traditional roast turkey roulade with a chestnut stuffing or oven baked Australian beef tenderloin with glazed baby vegetables and porcini jus. That night I was truly lucky as I got to taste both of the mains and my first taste was their turkey and it was really tasty to bite into. Well crafted, had a nice browning on the skin while the stuffing was truly spot on. Love those chestnut while the accompanied lured me for more bites.

OVEN BAKED AUSTRALIAN BEEF TENDERLOIN with Glazed Baby Vegetables and Porcini Jus

The Australian beef tenderloin was baked to my liking, a perfect medium rare baked to a soft tender texture. Every cuts was such an easy task and every bite make me felt so overwhelming. It was a really delicious piece that came with porcini jus.

For that night the buffet of dessert was not served as it will be served on the actual day and now it got me going, craving to be precise. The night was smashing as the line up of the eve dishes was just perfect. Definitely a night to celebrate!
