‘STAR FOR A CHLD’ CAMPAIGN’
A believer of goodwill, Grand Millennium has invited all to participate in their ‘A Star for A Child’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
This ‘A Star for a Child’ campaign was launched this year on December 5, 2013, encouraging individuals to pick a star from the hotel’s Christmas tree, which has a child’s name written on it and buy them a gift. All gifts will be then delivered to KK3 ward at General Hospital Kuala Lumpur’s children.
“While Christmas is illustrated in many ways such as festivity, party, turkey and more, Christmas also reflects love, hope and joy, said Peter Gibbons, General Manager of Grand Millennium, in his speech during the launch.
With the hanging of the stars, let us at this time be reminded of the children at KK3 ward that needs our prayers, love and kindness. Each of the stars at the Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur has a child’s name on it and our wish is for everyone of you to have in mind that with every little gift given, we will make a big difference.” he concluded.
The launch of the event was officiated by His Excellency Matti Pullinen, Ambassador of Finland who also read the Santa’s letter during his speech.
“I am honoured to be here again and be apart of this noble event that creates awareness of the children with this unfortunate sickness.
I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur for their effort to making this a success by spreading the love,” he added.
Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur is driving this “A Star for a Child” campaign until 20 December, 2013 in conjunction with the festive season and welcomes any person from the public to contribute as giver of smiles.
