At one of my recent dinners I managed to drop by at Grill 582 Best Western Premier Dua Sentral to indulge the hand skills of Chef Siti Arini, one of the refined woman chef in fine dining. Timid she might look like but she can really furry a By the way the Flavours of Australia promotion started on 1st June and ends on 30th June 2013, while the price tag is as follows: RM180 per person without wine pairing or RM300 per person with wine pairing
We opted our dinner with wine and the first dish that graced the night was the Green Pea Puree that finely beautified over with Port Lincoln Mussels and Scallop and was given a drizzle of Beef Chorizo Oil. I like the texture of the puree and tasted deliciously while the scallop was pinned with the right biting texture. I got to say the Port Lincoln mussels were not so inconsistant at a glance. I guessed it is truly difficult to see what’s hidden inside the shell itself until it is cooked well. Overall it retained a good pea flavour and tiinkled with refreshing scallops. Nice indeed. Seated comfortly I glassed myself with a delicious lip smacking white, . . . . well it was Sauvignon Blanc, Shaw & Smith, Adelaide Hills 2011 that had a fabulous light purging passionfruit taste. It was a sexy lingering flavours with crisp, clean acidity.
Moving to the next dish on the list was this Australian Lamb Cutlet, Pepperade and Goats Cheese that had a great wonderful taste that caught my attention. I got to admit, this is the first time I had my lamb cutlet toasted with goat cheese and it was interesting nice even I am not a big goat cheese fan. Slushing away with a glass deep red Shiraz DB Family Selection, South East Australia 2009. It paired well with the lamb cutlet and did not took away the taste of the goat cheese.
Having a mouth cleanser is a must and we had an unexpected mind blowing Dark Chocolate and Chilli Sorbet with tasted smoothly and spiked with a light peppery that worked wonders for the throat. fabulous. I found it to be intrigged.
Looked fabulous the fish dish I had, having the baaramundi steak pan fried and light drizzled with malt vinegar was exciting. A very flavourful piece of gem and it was nice to have a few homemade chips at the side. It was brilliant to have the imported malt vinegar too. Whenever having a fish dish a glass of white is a must and here it paired up with a nice hinted light sweet Chardonnay Cooper Crossing Australia 2011. it was smooth to my liking and cuddling the whole bottle home if I can and I wish.
The next main was The restaurant specialty a grilled Black Angus rib eye that was done to perfectin of my liking, thrilled as always and teething a slcie with their slow roasted black grape was mind blowing, yes it was so syiok! the fennel was slightly over cooked as it left with less overpowering taste as I like mind to be. It always fun having my steaks here at the Grill 582. A meat dish will always paired with a good glass of red wine and Cabernet Sauvignon, Evan & Tate, Gnangara, Western Australia 2010 was the right choice made.
As to move to our last sweet dish, we were pastrified with a delicious crisp white pavlova that cream with the chantilly and glazed with frsh passion fruit. It was a sexy sweet that was not oberly sweet but keep to the right taste and fabulous texture. Myy neighbour seated next to me kept spooning mine. lol!
So if you rae looking for a great Australian taste, then why not head to Grill 582 for a cosy dining.
