According to my search Contango is ocated in the Tower Wing of the Majestic Hotel and it is a luxuriously designed contemporary restaurant featuring an open kitchen interactive dining concept with a seating capacity for 250 people. The cuisine, freshly prepared to order, ranges from Asian, Japanese, to Western and Grilled dishes. A 2000 bottle wine cellar includes the Opus One vertical collection of wine created through a collaboration between Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Robert Mondavi
As the guest of the hotel, I was ushered to my seat at the end of this huge dining room. Honestly I was on a complimentary lunch-ing that noon but at a glance from my internet search, Contango’s buffet lunch costs RM88++ per pax, additional RM30 for free-flow wine and need to make payment first before entering for the lunch.
I got to confess that I like Contanga, maybe it is new but the dining concept truly intrigged. The present of the life-kitchen for example can be such a pleasant comfort as one can watch it’s food being cooked and plated. Having to know the food is being served warm and fresh on the spot can make one like myself be jolly happy.
As you walk into the restaurant you can’t help to notice that the dessert bar is located at the left handside. A very eye-catching section and filled with awesome goodness sweets. Got to confess it is my favourite. The cakes we really delicious and oh my my their custard is definitely on top of my list. Their ice cream and sorbet counter is really brilliant. I know I can spend a whole afternoon just to have their dessert with a cup of nice brewed coffee.
to proceed into the dinig room, there is two open island kitchen and one would be dedicated to western food such as like grilled section, continental selection such as pizza, pasta, cheese and salads. A for the other island kitchen Asian food was out to parade, lovely Japanese Sushi and Sashimi, a variety of curry selection, noodles and more. Just look what’s had keep feeding my camera lenses. Yes definitely Good food !
Defintely a must try out place to eat, beside good food. I just adore the deco and the design of the place. Will be back for more food adventure . . . . . Sidney Kan
