While scrolling over the internet I stumbled upon thiis place and just got me noticing. Yup their chic and bold interior, I would called the look was so visible and so was their dessert. After a lunch do with my partner in crime we headed towards Flora Teerace for some exploration and more digging..
I knew what I want, a coffee and their >”Tapai” Fermented Glutinous Rice with Greantea Icecream and Fresh Cubed Mango. IT came stylish and yet elegant like jewel plated. I love the intensity of colours green and orange being put into play. The taste of the Tapai was strong but well sealed with the sweet mango and chilled ice cream. The greentea flavoured ice cream did a great combition with it’s main tenant, the Tapai. Overall it was very likeable and I trusted their creativity. Simple the best local infused dessert.
The previous was a very Malay influence and the second one had a Chinese influence. How can one able to forget of not having Chinese pancake filled with lotus paste. This one just presented as it was, sandwhiched over with mascarpone cheese and suggested to be eaten with yam icecream. Fabulous idea and love the juice of creativity here. It was reallly good. We only noticed the cheese melted away before it arrived due to the warmest transpired through the warm pancake.
Definitely a great place to relax and chill out over cooffe, tea and sweet dessert . . . . . . . Sidney Kan
