It had been awesome as food had been treating me rather well and this time I get to indulge the Treasure Pot created by Pao Xiang BKT for this Chinese New Year festive. Not only I get to taste their latest kitchen creation, I get to taste their new Teo Chew Bak Kut Teh range and the fun of taosting the Yee Sang.

I knew it was rather an addictive bowl of ribs that placed right infront of me and I was in for a great surprised. It was a really a good bowl of peppery Bak Kut Teh which lighter in colour and strong in flavour, defintely something different. I just like the twist of having something different from the norm. Very inviting to start of the day. Delicious!

Beautiful Treasure Pot

Here their Treasure Pot ‘Poon Choi” consists of a 12 heads of abalone, flower mushrooms, sea cucumbers, fish maw, stewed sliced pork belly with taro and brocolli, all placed systematically onto the earthen pot. “Gorgeous”, I told myself. Having to taste it was another interesting story. Foremost the abalone caught my fullest attention, without any hesitation my task of chopsticking a piece onto my plate was a no excuses. I got to compliment the sliced pork belly with sliced taro, it was perfect and gorgeousl delicious, soft, smooth and came with a beautiful succulent texture. So hard to resist!

Pao Xiang had their Yee Sang topped with sliced salmon and I found the present of pok chui, pickled garlic, julienne carrots, Japanese cucumbers, Konnyaku and pomelo pulps. The coated was tasty too. Nice.
