It was truly funny that night that I meet him . . . . truly my twin brother Michael, at a pub Terrace Arms nearby here at the Strand, Kota Damansara! We had the similar build up, height, we wore nearly the similar watch and specs from at far. We truly share the same taste in liquer and we love cigars too. Well . . . . . twins, I wish. Infact we are awesome friends, buddies I would put it. How can we be twins as I am much older in age! . . . did I say that! well I am just hitting my late 20’s.
I just love the Strand area, definitely a growing place as more and more fabulous restaurants are making wave into this area, Terrace Arms is another great spot for food indulgence. With the recommendation from our Ms Fame Fitness World Routine Champion 2011, Natalie Meei we grouped ourself at Terrace Arms for a lovely meal. That night it was full with excitement of food sharing. Natalie was truly a great host and filled us up with such comfort and joy.
For the evening, the amuse bouche that graced elegantly through was the delightful Prawn Bruschetta. I was truly intrigged by the sea sweet taste of the prawn that came with a freshness of texture. The sliced baguette was kept to crisp which how I like them to be. It was definitely a great start of the evening.
To begin the magical night, we were presented with the chef’s salad: Caesar Salad and Terrace Arm Salad. The Caeser Salad looked truly adoreable while having to notice the present of the anchovy had totally melted me instantly, I am just a total die hard fan. I just love the bursting saltiness encapsulated in the anchovies as it brings our the flavour of any salad. The Caesar Salad was filled with great freshness, authentic slices of Scottish smoked salmon topped over handfull of tasty salad leafs, while the present of crispy croutons made the salad a truly outstanding piece.
When I forked into it I knew I was charmed. Yet that was their Terrace Arm Salad. By just looking at the sliced grilled chicken, you will easily have an instant saliva-tion. Yes looks good taste fabulous. Loved it.
Came next was a basket of marching toasted sliced of garlic bread for the next course. the soups.
I was going wild with their soup, the tasty creamy Wild Mushroom soup. I truly adored the flavour and the smooth texture of this soup which contain of three main ingredients: shitake, oyster and button mushrooms. It was gorgeously smooth in taste and texture, perfect for any evenings.
Just a perfect oxtail soup has a slight local infused taste, light and yet kept simple. Definitely a well crafted soup that takes a long hours to brew and I like it.
For a strong flavour, I would recopmmend thei onion soup, definitely not just a normal onion soup. It came with a strong brown colour infused with a strong flavour. Definitely a favourite for any onion lovers.
A well sauteed Olio Aglio pasta can be difficult to locate but in my opinion, Terrace Arm’s Olio Aglio is defintely my preferrance, tasty, fllavoursome and tongue-licking. It was done al dante which I preferred and not too oily. Here it was done with a touch of pan fragrant with the seafood. squid, mussels and prawns complimented the dish just perfectly. Defintely my favourite.
The oven baked cod fish was done just perfectly, baked to perfection. It was topped over a bed of baked potato wedges and asparagus laced over picinni and mushroom sauce, It was such detail in taste and was filled with bursting taste. Well done to the chef. The only thing with me, I alway loved my cod served in big chunk! definetely a naughty me!
The grilled Australian rib eye steak was absolutely delicious, It was medium-rarei and t was so precisely done. Perfectly spot on. I know Terrace Arms will always be one of the best place to have steak. I just can’t wait for the next waygu showcaes in the coming weeks.
Forking into the grill chicken was just as exciting as the rest main dishes, it was tenderly moist inside and great light browning on the outside, juicyly done. Nice.
Oh! my heart just melted for many seconds upon the arrival of this chunky Lamb Shank. It was just so smooth, soft and moist. Having a first bite, I know it’s going to be all mine. I had the ownership of this dish. It was such a tongue-melting piece of art crafted dish. A must have and order dish !
When dessert time came, I knew I going to like them, Panna Cotta, Tiramisu and Bread Pudding. All the three dessert here has a common feature, not overly sweetl which I truly adore. I always hate having overly sweet desserts. The Panna Cotta on that night was slightly soft as it was just freshly prepared and yet set to firm in texture, as for taste it was good.
Wow! those ladies who were seated right and left of me kept raving this tiramisu. I was in disbelieve but having a spoon, I was totally kicking! lol! It was really delicious, it chocalate cake layer was truly moist and flooded with alcohol ***wink*** truly the mascaporne cheese drown me with total joy and a big smile!
The bread pudding was awesome, I like it being accompany with a scoop of refreching chilled ice cream. The bread pudding was a blastt, different: airy light and not overly sweet. Well I got to confessed I had a few spoon-ing! Lovely.
We were rather naughty especially myself trying to pull the Chef Adnan’s leg by having a comment session. It was fun, truly I gave Chef a great rating! Good Food.
That night was truly a great night, having a good company makes food taste even better, here at Terrace Arms, the food here makes wonders under the magical hands of Chef Adnan. I am already schedule to be back for a few jolly good pints and also forking into those fabulous food . . . . . . . . . . . love it, Sidney Kan
