The Nameless Noodle Signboard

Tucked along a busy street of Jalan Cheras near the junction of the PGRM building we found the nameless Hokkien Noodle stall located at Ming Heang Hui Coffee Shop. It was an after event at PGRM that got us hunting for this midnight supper just across the road. Stood right at a corner in a quiet lane came the blasting sound of gas furnace fuming with awesome pungent smell of “wok hei”. The place itself was totally crowded at that moment of our arrival of this old boys school coffee shop and people was eyeing for empty table just like a flock of deadly hunting vulchers.

The Flocking Crowd

It was a packed crowd as the plcae is known for their fried noodle hokkien style, noodle coated with smokie dark sauce.

Wat Tan Hor (fresh flat rice noodle with egg gravy)

The Wat Tan Hor was truly delicious as the flat rice noodle was full of “Wok Hei” wok fragrant. We loved it and we had the plate refinely clean.

Hokkien Mee

The Hokkien Mee was done perfect: tender noodle coated with well tasty dark soaya sauce. It was such addictive, wanting another scoop of the noodle was such desireable.

Hailam Mee

The Hailam Mee was truly uniquw and cane with a distinc taste similar to our ‘Assam Laksa’ . It came with chunks of sliced cucumber and cut onion while the soup gave a sweet sourness in taste. I suspected tamarind water was added into the soup to enhance the soup. It was turly delicious and will defintely impress any diners.
