My first “Berbuka Puasa” Ramadhan feast try out this year was at Songket Restaurant featuring talented Chefs Zamri Jemintan. I just love his food and his dedication and determination in achieving a delicious piece of tasty dish. Yes, we had exchanged a feel words about his cooking and I am sure I was convinced. I like his beef rendang, very tender and yet very moist inside. Fabulous indeed, unique experience. Astralian beef was put into play. Jaded black laced squid was terrific, yet another interesting dish and my neighbour whispered, “It is chef’s most delicious dish, a must try”.

The BBQ Treat

That night we were generously hosted with a whole BBQ lamb while fresh prawns, squid, fish, clams and scallops were put into play at the BBQ grill.

Chef Zamri’s cooking was really adoreable and delicious. I had mentioned about his beef rendang and squid ink dish, you must try his prawns cooked in pieapple and also red chicken (ayam masak merah). Every dish was cooked to perfection. I truly like chefs who put challenges in their cooking, Chef Zambri is definitely one of them.
