International female DJ JACQUI DUSK from Melbourne, Australia; Jacqui Christopoulos @ Dj Jacqui Dusk is on an international Asia to Europe tour and she will be coming to Malaysia on Friday June 10, 2011.

Australian selector Miss Dusk has started to turn some heads since having UK’s DJ MAG Pick n Mix competition. Following the win she was featured on London’s KISS FM, subsequently picking up DJ bookings across Asia and Europe playing at Bar SU (Malaysia), Rude Girls Society (Germany), Elektika (UK) & Habana (France), after A selector on the rise, Miss Dusk will provide you with an original and unpredictable set.

A DJ’s versatility is recognized by their ability to transpire into other forms of genres she is no exception. Dusk broke onto the dance music scene in 2002 under the “Tribe” moniker – a collaboration of female DJs, MCs and artists performing to a backdrop of breaks and upfront house. The group became integral instigators in putting girls on the map. As time passed, Dusk’s love for production got the better of her, and her first original production release hit the scene on the 5158 recordings label. In 2004, Dusk exploded onto the market with her production follow up on 5158 recordings.

Success purveyed her onto worldwide opportunities, and in 2005 Dusk travelled to China to hold a residency at the New World Club in Shandong specializing in edgy club beats virtually unheard of in this region of China at the time. Upon her return, Dusk managed to score a placing on the festival circuit playing at Enchanted Forest and headlining in Sydney, now becoming more widely known for her ability to move across genres with minimal effort

As Adelaide called and the demand for divine females increased, Dusk helped initiate the all-female house, breaks & electro night ‘Booty Beats’ at pioneering house club Savvy Bar, also being invited to join Adelaide Breaks Collective as official promotion representative and resident DJ, then picking up 2 nominations at the South Australian Dance Music Awards for her DJ ability and for her popular radio show with Fresh FM.

New Zealand then called for Dusk to embark on its shores for a South Island Tour covering Dunedin, Wanaka and Queenstown, performing to capacity venues. Success as it was, the word spread and Dusk kept up the festival circuit, hitting Victorian festival Earthcore’s main stage, opening for DAVE the Drummer. Following shortly behind this revered spot, Dusk was called up to perform to a packed crowd in Cairns, Queensland, before then being hand selected for a spot as resident DJ for ‘Touch Bar’ in Beijing . Now based in Melbourne, Australia this international bombshell has played at the biggest and most renowned Melbourne clubs including Alumbra, Fusion, Co, Fashion Lounge, Baroq, Neverland , watermark and more. The international circuit called again seeing Dusk rock sets across Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur (Sky Bar) and White Room Kota Kinabalu to ring in Chinese New Year for 2010, closely followed by another South East Asian tour a few months later. More bookings for Asia and Europe are in negotiation for this year.
