Chung Sun’s Yam Rice

A lovely saturday pondering a good and nearby to my place at Kota Damanasara would be heading to Kampong Baru Sungei Buluh for a jolly good Bak Kut Teh. Chung Sun Bak Kut Teh would be a place to recommend that located just along the main highway toward Kampung Subang.

Dough Stick & Dry Bean Curd

Chung Sun’s yam rice is adoreable, simple and fluffy that went very well with the braised pork and knuckle in dark soy sauce. The rice was slightly darken to taste with soya sauce and bits of smashed cooked yam. We ordered their dough stick “Yau Tiew” to go along with the claypot Bak Kut Teh. Just soaked and softened them up in the soup. The texture of the dry bean curd was soft and taste perfectly with bird eye chilli soya dip.

Braised Pork and Knuckle in Dark Soya Sauce

The Braised Pork and Knuckle in supreme dark soya sauce was truly exciting in taste and flavour. The texture of the pork was good with a biting texture and was not left too soften. Mine came with layers of lean meat and fats which I love having. The pork knuckle itself caught me with such a great surprised, the texture of skin was rally impressive. Biting into the tendon was such a terrifice experience. Nice! One of the best braised I tasted. Adding pickle green ” Ham Choy” and dried chilli will be even fabulous! Something I tasted in Johor.

The Chung Sun’s Claypot Bak Kut Teh was really good. I just adored it. It had a very clear soup and with a strong ones taste of herbal instead of those dark and milky. The present of the aroma of herbal straight tempted me without any of adoubt. It was really a good claypot for a Saturday lunch time. Truly refine. Definitely my type of Bak Kut Teh. We oredered a mix one that came with pork, ribs and innards.
