It was lovely experience to have a chance to lunch at Aunty Aini’s “Secret Garden” Cafe out here in Nilai under the invitation of Chef Norman Musa who is currently back in Kuala Lumpur for his cookery espionage. It was an hour drive out from the city on a chilled down Saturday morniing that brought us to this fabulous and beautiful garden. Auny Aini is a famous self-taught cook who specialised in the “Minang” cooking. Her favourite dishing out cooking would be fresh turmeric coconut cream “Masak Lemak” based dishes.

Aunty Aini definitely an icon, she is such a fabulous lady . . . a woman with such humour and substance. She is so likeable and even Gordon Ramsey adores Aunty Aini during her recent appearance on The Great Escape.

The food was adoreable. The coconut cream gravy was fabulous, totally makes me nuts. I just can;t stop eating, it was full of luxurious and whats more lucheon within a secret graden. Aunty Aini even spicy up some of the dishes with bird eye chilli! Wow that was truly awesome. The dishes was truly authentic and unique . . . . totally delicious.

The glutinous rice custard with coconut filling ” Kuih Koci” was so fabulously done, not overly sweet and the fermented glutinous rice pudding with ice cream got me be wilded and lusted for more.
