Mother’s Day celebration will be held on this weekend and my interview with famous writer Lim Yi Chiann from the China Press Newspaper was published today. I just love the whole 3 pages, so lovely and so subtle, fabulous. I love the cover page with the association of young budding chefs.
Yi Chiann requested me to prepared three type of cakes, back to basic, healthy and something new. The first cake that strike me completely was my mum’s chiffon cake. It was my first cake that I learn before turning it my own profession. My first teacher is my mum, My first cake was her chiffon cake. A light feather cake. Soft filled with tenderness. One of my favourite cake. The recipe was featured on the article.
As for healthy cake, I introduced the ingredients of nuts and dates. The other cake I decided to churned out the passion fruit moussecake topped with cut fruits. While macarons were not left out, I had Yi Chiann to try the balck and red macarons.
