I heard a lot of awesome feedbacks on Taiwan street food and here in Kuala Lumpur we bound to meet such appealing food lingering at every corner, some even had ingeniously modification to suit local taste. At recent i was invited to such a feast at the newly refurbished Fahrenheit 88 located along Jalan Bukit Bintang. Located at 2nd floor we found Yummy Taiwan, the Taiwanese street gourmet. Very appealing indeed.

Taiwan Burger

One of the most memoriable moment was having the pleasure of indulging their delicious and flavorsome Taiwanese Burger. With a standard white Chinese bun came sandwhiching over a slice of well braised dark pork belly, soft silky and it just melt in my mouth right away. It had a strong delight flavour too. Everyone was raving about it. What’s more it was coated with crushed peanuts.

Bubble Milk Tea with Pearls

I was delighted to see the arrival of a marching of glasses filled with bubble milk tea laced with light gummy pearls. Definitely a thirst killer with a few sip and I was happy in gearing up my mode of indulgence.

Stewed Pork Rice

I just felt at home with comfort when the stew pork rice landed right infront of me. I always like my braised pork tucked in softly and tender and I discovered it here beautifully constructed at Yummy Taiwan’s kitchen. An interesting news. It did so well infusing it taste and texture with the accompanied white rice. While having it drizzled with finely chopped sweet pickled vegetable, it was good and robust to my liking. A love at the first sight.

Mushroom Meat with Spinach Noodle Soup

Next came a bowl of mushroom meat with spinach noodle soup sitting right next to my neighbour. I had set my eyes on it but the bowl was reluctantly passed to me and let me wanting with a glaring smile. The soup was good, light starchy texture with awesome delicious meat balls. I found the handmade noodle was slight soft as I prefer mine to be more in texture. Overall it was a good bowl of noodle.

Steam Pork Dumpling

I find it rather relaxing having to crave for a plate filled with dumplings. Tender skin texture is a must and thick hard skin is defintely un-appealing to me. Here at Yummy Taiwan it hard the perfect texture, it was so lovely to indulge. Beautifully crafted filled with delicious minced. sufficient.

Sanma Rice

I like the photo taken on the Sanma Rice, a sexy fish with such great firm body running through my lense. Sometimes beautiful is one thing and can be rather miss leading. The fish was good and had a good texture but I felt the whole dish was a bit dry and empty as I alway have mine full, bold and beauiful.
