Terrace Arms Grill and Steak is a steakhouse that serves up simple steaks, burgers, sandwiches and drinks. It is a very confortable and a relax place to be. You will also notice that a lot of effort had been placed here for churning out good food. You can see the kitchen in action through the look through glass panels. We were there that night on a St Patrick’s food trail on the invitation of Guinness! Yes having a pint of Guinness is such a pure pleasure. I love having it chilled.
The invited guests that night were seated but it had me truly speechless. They had famous local actor/model Alan Yun and 1st Runner-Up Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant Emily Lim sitting on the same table. I was not the only one but most of the guests were in total shock. An awesome beautiful shock that left everyone smiling through out the night. Ken Wooi, Meryn, Sunny Yaw, Camy, Hui Ping and Baby Esther were present. We started off with pints of chilled refreshing Guinness and toasted sliced baguette with herb butter. A great simple way to start the meal.
Then came my Guinness Beef Consomme with Oxtail Won Tons. It was brilliant. A light flavourful clear soup with a hint of guinness. Definltely a well prepared soup that came with such an awesome tasty wan ton filled with chopped oxtail. I got you say I nearly lick clean my bowl. Not a drop left.
Then follow up with a line of Breaded Prawns with Spicy Guinness Dip. There were still warm and crispy. The prawns were fresh and the sauce was bursting with flavours. Delicious entrement.
Everyone was deep into their conversation. While the atmosphere in Terrace Arm was filled with laughter and joy. The house special the Grilled Chicken was put into play served with Guinness sauce. The chicken was tender and moist, a well grill chicken. While the suce flavoured the whole dish itself. It was really good. The chef did a good job here. Love it. It felt so sexy knifing into it.
A strong with such a full body Guinness Beef Pie was placed right in front of me wanting me to indulge it and I did. I was truly good. Solid chunk of beef that jived so pretty with the baked pie pastry. The densed sauce was total speechlessly good. A thumbs up to the chef and Melissa the owner who gave out 100% in design the menu for that night and also the St Patrick’s Day celebration.
Having the sliced apple marinated with Guinness before baking was truly a new baking method I learn from that nnight. I was really good after being baked in the tart shell. Lovely dessert! A thumbs up!
That night was brilliant, all of us had a good time and truly enjoyed the food and pints of Guinness, Terrace Arms is defintiely a place to be for a few pints over a jolly good dinner . . . . .. . I was amazed with such good food, Sidney Kan
